Captain Jack Sparrow Captain Jack Sparrow

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

Cringe in fear do gooders. The G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy alienS) empire is now formed. In less than an hour we have jumped 95 other Pacifist Doo Gooder victim empires and lept into 40th out of 135 ranked.

We are an evil empire bent on controlling everything and showing all the other empires out there who's boss. US. Are you listening Euro-"Oh lets let everyone be a senator and give em a vote doo gooder democracy alliance?" We come for you.

For a limited time, (untill I decide otherwise) 5 Pure Evil games, (or just impressing me with your game evilness) submitted will get you a Senatorship. Later, being the evil empire pyramid scheme we are, it will take 10. Of course, being the evil empire we are, that gives you no benefits, no pay, but all the alien carnage you crave most.

Now we do realize that sometimes, you just have to fake being good. You sometimes just have to infiltrate that pacifist party. We understand. But we aren't a kinder gentler empire and don't let their pacifism go to your head. And just sometimes, you gotta let the Aliens live (where else would you find slaves for the heavy metal lava mines?)

In the future, we shall update each other in the empire via this thread, brag of our conquests, drink blood wine, and generally just poke fun (creatively and humorously) at those players whom we find to be too goody goodyish.

Our mottos.

G.R.O.S.S. Where being good is merely a temporary strategy.

Just win baby.

Here's your ration of skin you do gooder wimp Drengin slime. Now get back to work

EBZeroMatrix you have been made a senator.

I repeat. Cringe in fear, we come for you.

What does it take to be a senator these days
End of quote

Two ways. 1 Senate votes you in on the basis of you convincing us of your evilness or
2 Get enough evil submissions

One note: if you do not ask, you will not be put in regardless of whether you meet requirement two. So ya gotta ask. when the time comes.

I haven't fed Threadzilla much so here's a little treat. :)

The game I'm working on is a painful gigantic which is coming along nicely. Drengin and Yor are pure evil and the other three are/were pure good. I became demonic much quicker than usual for such a large map, but a couple of 32% planet quality bumps were too tasty to pass up. I wanted to keep the Torians around for $h!#& and giggles, but the pansies surrendered to my cultural superiority. Not even a free planet saved their big empty heads. ;p

I love to steal economic and manufacturing capitals and the Yor and the Arceans were my first victims. Right now my fleets are lining up for a raid on the Altarians. It’ll be a while before I finish this game because it takes sooo long for ships to reach the front lines. :(

Two weird things have happened so far. After the Torians disappeared completely, a Torian ghost reappeared and said it would defend its allies. Very spooky. I also have a problem with one of my captured planets. When I send a ship in for repairs, it attacks an Arcean ghost ship! Nothing is lost except for one movement point, but I can’t repair at that planet without declaring war on the Arceans. Bummer. >:(

Happy plunderin’ y’all! :D

What is all this talk about crappy 'puters? For sheep's sake! You guys are Americans: you are all wealthy enough to buy a computer for every room! Sheesh.

Keelhauler: I've had the same problem with a ghost (something) on a planet. I couldn't dock any ships on the planet without attacking a civ. Very annoying.

Then in my last game I did something so cheesy, that I am embarassed to tell anyone. Anyway, I totally enclosed a corner quadrant (with 4 Torian planets) with a wall of corvettes. Sort of like the last Star Wars movie. After a few years the map suddenly filled with several hundred randomly placed Torian corvettes.
The funny thing is, that I was still more powerful than the Torians, so they didn't declare war on me. And, the maintenance costs brought their economy to a complete halt!

CypherPax Strikes Back
Drop Bear was right Cypher Pax could not bring himself to use the credit card bill as a way to justify more computer game time. Instead, he convinced Mrs. Pax that since she had invested in decorating the living room of their new house. He could purchase some goodies for one of his rooms. Low and behold, the Media Room of the Pax Household is no longer bear, I mean bare.

CypherPax purchased a 57inch wide-screen HDTV along with a Bose Surround Sound Stereo system, a new recliner (to add to Cypher’s over-stuffed bachelor furniture), and an assortment of theater lobby posters. The unfortunate effect of this is that CypherPax has no collateral to increase Galactic Civilizations time. So far Drop Bears plans are working perfectly…

Mrs. Pax has agreed to tutor Yoda. Someone better warn Yoda that she does not have much patience for Star Wars under normal circumstances, though she did briefly feign interest in Science Fiction while she was dating Mr. Pax.

BTW: Drop Bear, you're not far from correct about computers in my house. Each non-bathroom is wired with Cat-5 cable and cable and the house has a wireless router. We have 2 laptops, 3 PCs, and a Silicon Graphics box which I use for my consulting business.

Most Americans are two paychecks from homelessness as a result of buying a computer for every room. I don't wish to be one of them. I'll piece this one together for another year, then maybe get a new one with one of the new Intel chips due out next spring.

Wooohoooo, being able to get a new computer is always a good thing.

Pontius, you deserve it to yourself to get a new PC.
I'm sure you can come up with compelling arguments to place before your trouble & strife.

Take Mr Pax's example: he is helping support the economies of several nations!
