Cringe in fear do gooders. The G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy alienS) empire is now formed. In less than an hour we have jumped 95 other Pacifist Doo Gooder victim empires and lept into 40th out of 135 ranked.

We are an evil empire bent on controlling everything and showing all the other empires out there who's boss. US. Are you listening Euro-"Oh lets let everyone be a senator and give em a vote doo gooder democracy alliance?" We come for you.

For a limited time, (untill I decide otherwise) 5 Pure Evil games, (or just impressing me with your game evilness) submitted will get you a Senatorship. Later, being the evil empire pyramid scheme we are, it will take 10. Of course, being the evil empire we are, that gives you no benefits, no pay, but all the alien carnage you crave most.

Now we do realize that sometimes, you just have to fake being good. You sometimes just have to infiltrate that pacifist party. We understand. But we aren't a kinder gentler empire and don't let their pacifism go to your head. And just sometimes, you gotta let the Aliens live (where else would you find slaves for the heavy metal lava mines?)

In the future, we shall update each other in the empire via this thread, brag of our conquests, drink blood wine, and generally just poke fun (creatively and humorously) at those players whom we find to be too goody goodyish.

Sixtoes crawled out from behind a barrel on the main deck of the Survey Ship of Doom, barely aware of his surroundings. Clearly, the effects of inebriation were only now beginning to dissipate.

"Um, guys. G.R.O.S.S.ers? Fellow residents of this wretched hive of scum & villainy?"

Fellow members of the team stared at him in various states of awe and disbelief. "Where've YOU been these past few days, Six?" bellowed the oft-maligned leader known simply as Pontius.

"Well, sir...", began Sixtoes, "I've been moonlighting. You see, when I'm not Getting Rid of Slimy AlienS (tm), I'm working. Every day since the 4th of July, as a matter of fact - no rest for the wicked, as they say."

"So what brings you out into the light of day now?", the Spymaster asked.

"I may not have time to perform my pirate duties while I'm at the office, but I do get to check the forums every now & then. I thought I'd poke my head out and congratulate you (us) on getting back to our proper place - Number One in the Metaverse!"

"Now, I must admit," continued the rarely-seen but nevertheless valuable Sixtoes, "I've not been able to contribute as much as I'd like to the cause - only three games in the past ten days - but I'll be returning my typical productivity shortly. Thanks to the miracle of something entitled 'calling in sick', I'll likely throw a few more points in the (now VERY large) G.R.O.S.S. pot."

"Hrrrmph. Is that the only reason you crawled out from under that barrel?", Pontius posited.

"Well, that. And the free booze. I could use some."

Seriously, guys... things should be returning to normal shortly, and you can not only look forward to my bordering-on-good-but-never-quite-getting-there scores returning to the Metaverse. Not to mention my inane ramblings on Threadzilla.

Once I'm working 'normal' hours again, I think I may request a seat in the Senate - after all, 18 evil games (10 pure evil) may earn me a voice in that august body. Of course, I'll only request such a thing when I can offer the kind of time it would take to make it worthwhile.

Well, back to work - my Drengin boss is crackin' the whip and I know what I have to do. For now... hehehehe.

I've tried that. And money. But I don't have enough - of either. :)

Actually, it's a long story of not enough people and too much work to do in a short time. Looks like some relief will be coming in on Monday which should give me my first day off sometime next (not this) weekend. Eh, what's a month's work between friends, right? Doh!

"Thanks, boss. That sweet stuff hits the spot. I'll just take the bottle and go back to my barrel. Until the next time...", and Sixtoes disappeared into the shadows from whence he came.

Well I wanted to be a senator because it makes feel more secure recruiting and such because in the past I was accused of empiring and recruiting for an empire that I didn't belong to or contribute too and it gives me a sense of belonging in the empire as for a while I was considering leaving the empire and this has kept me from it

I'm glad to see things have settled down. I enjoy reading EVERYONE's posts...

Please try to stay positive, because I'm sure we've all seen good message boards ruined by people who can't even remember why they initially disagreed. The Forum is one of the best parts of GalCiv. Let's keep it that way.

Darth Bob and Six Toes -- You'd both make good senators. I am not suggesting that we should make the criteria more difficult, I just think there should be a speech along with the request. Which I think we've now had from both of you.
