Captain Jack Sparrow Captain Jack Sparrow

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

Cringe in fear do gooders. The G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy alienS) empire is now formed. In less than an hour we have jumped 95 other Pacifist Doo Gooder victim empires and lept into 40th out of 135 ranked.

We are an evil empire bent on controlling everything and showing all the other empires out there who's boss. US. Are you listening Euro-"Oh lets let everyone be a senator and give em a vote doo gooder democracy alliance?" We come for you.

For a limited time, (untill I decide otherwise) 5 Pure Evil games, (or just impressing me with your game evilness) submitted will get you a Senatorship. Later, being the evil empire pyramid scheme we are, it will take 10. Of course, being the evil empire we are, that gives you no benefits, no pay, but all the alien carnage you crave most.

Now we do realize that sometimes, you just have to fake being good. You sometimes just have to infiltrate that pacifist party. We understand. But we aren't a kinder gentler empire and don't let their pacifism go to your head. And just sometimes, you gotta let the Aliens live (where else would you find slaves for the heavy metal lava mines?)

In the future, we shall update each other in the empire via this thread, brag of our conquests, drink blood wine, and generally just poke fun (creatively and humorously) at those players whom we find to be too goody goodyish.

Our mottos.

G.R.O.S.S. Where being good is merely a temporary strategy.

Just win baby.

Here's your ration of skin you do gooder wimp Drengin slime. Now get back to work

EBZeroMatrix you have been made a senator.

I repeat. Cringe in fear, we come for you.

has anyone added to the War of the worlds thread lately because if they haven't I think the next submission should be from someone in G.R.O.S.S

That someone might be me if no one submits anything over there in the next day or so. Part X is slowly being hammered into place.

Boss, I thought Coffeedragon had the "most lazy senator" award? Oh, he's not around anymore. I guess that now makes me the laziest active senator scoring wise. Oops!

I could say that I am running an evil plot to test score degradation and cannot submit a game for at least 31 days after the last one or I screw up the results, but that would only be part of the truth. The rest of the story is that I have been throwing most of my computer time into promoting empiring both in the Metaverse in general and GROSS itself. (That reminds me, after I get this WotW part worked out, I need to work on that recruitment thread and reveal another major empire's stripes over the next couple of days.)

I actually have been putting in some small amount of time to slowly finish off a game. Just a few turns here and there every once in a while.

Miles knew the little people of the Fellowship were going to pay big time as a result and that made Miles very afraid

Painting me as a coward, huh? Well, I do have some backbone as I too have posted my stories and songs in the fellowship thread (that takes some courage). It's just when I'm outnumbered that I get filled with trepidation. ;) Some of us may be little people, but we're getting more experienced by the day.

I'm sure your story was just all in good fun, though. ;)

Go ahead and say what you want about me; this is going to be my first and last post in your thread. ;p

I may not be around for the next couple of weeks. Mrs. Pax has unleashed a new evil that force me to revert to bill-hours-like-crazy mode. Unless, I can dissuade her from her nefarious plot of hiring landscapers.

Instead of submitting a game this weekend, I ended up installing a fountain in a large pond in our backyard. The fountain is a nice touch, but you currently have to walk through the bushes to get to the pond. We hadn’t been planning to do much in the backyard, but now she wants to landscape around the pond and put in a path with a couple of bridges and a gazebo, so that she has ‘somewhere to walk the baby.’

I’m approaching 2 years of marriage and am still at ‘beginner’ level. My wife seems to have come with a masochistic level AI…. and GNN keeps telling me that I'm being slowly grinded down in a deadly war. Any veterans out there have any advice on maintaining morale while drastically lowering social production?

Not at all. I took it to mean that unlike some in your empire, you were concerned and afraid for the little people. :)

I think Coffee wins the lifetime achievement award for laziest G.R.O.S.S. senator. Actually I meant you should take a break from all your work and play a game or two :)

Cypher - lots of morale improvements built around the home should help. Try installing an entertainment network and a harmony generator. And be careful with that aphrodisiac.... ;) And turn off the military victory option...that never works...culture bomb her into submission....

Darth Bob - I'd be happy to oblige with WoW stuff - I'm under starters orders from Gerakken and Yoda not to go until the theme vs location plot is laid out.

The FOTR have moved ahead of us - time to fire up....

What the heck is wrong with a stroller? We walked ours in the stroller at the mall. Or out in the neighborhood. Sounds like Mrs. Pax has got the nesting fever. Change this do that. They tend not to actually think about their consequences or pocketbooks when they get that nesting instint.

Say that reminds me. If a man says something and no woman hears it, is he still wrong?

Pontius - acknowledging that you are always wrong is the secret to a long and happy marriage...oh and Cypher - work on diplo translators so you can trade off completing the path for some gaming time...

Heh, seems liek I can cap tiny/beg games at 10300 (the recent anomalous score was supposed to be the other one). 20min...still working on finding ways to cut down on time, and increase points.

Arrrrrgh! ...who was my disciple? ...Oh yes, Wild Wombat. Allright. Seems liek I have apparently perfected my skills at small/tiny maps, on beginner difficulty. If you wish to read my disclosure on my strategy, then please contact me over a available, secured G.R.O.S.S. comminucation line (i.e. yahoo, msn, aol/aim, e-mail [E-mail ONLY as last resort]).

Any further disclosure of this information, pertaining to my strategy, will be posted after the 1 million point race.

Ah, sensei...I have followed you for so long that I actually took a copy of the strat you posted so long ago...when I was but a humble Space Wombat.

I am trying to follow The Way, my master...but will meditate over the buttons on my compu-thingy and see if any of those acronyms you mention will work.

Needless to say I derived great joy from your triumphant move up the ladder again, and congrats. I long for Nirvana, and the day when I attain complete enlightenment: when I can submit a 10k small map without even touching the compu-thingy.

Blessed be The Way, sensei....

Well I have a new and imporved strategy. In fact that old one is way out of date, and its not the best scorer. Any contact info. would be great in me being able to teach you how to achieve your fullest potential.

EBZ - have tried Yahoo and MSN - could not find you (although found a nice looking chick called Jennifer!). Sensei - cast your pearls at [email protected] - sorry could not find a more secure location. Will carry attack possums to discourage interception.

What's this about secret comms? This is not the GROSS way.

Actually he merely wants to make you work. He's already posted this strategy this thread. he doesn't need to post again.

You know, I've been thinking. It occurs to me that Ray the Wanderer and all the little people in the Fellowship, but particularly Ray, have their hearts set on reaching 1,000,000 first.

Now, not having been in an empire at the top of the chart for so long, I didn't really focus on this. However, I've actually come to the realisation that I could enjoy, in some small way, humiliating another person or group of persons. Or if you want to call it something other than humiliation, fine. Its so cool to be cock-o-the-walk though.

And finally, I have seen a way in which my team of G.R.O.S.S.ers could inflict such humiliation, rather painlessly in fact. You guessed it: by getting to 1,000,000 before the Fellowship does!

It is not my call though. Can I ask whether the call to arms is going to be made by a Senator to all pirates to actually submit a game?

(I admit I have been a bit naughty and should actually play one too.) ;p

Secrets aren't the GROSS way, I agree. But there is nothing that says he has to give away any of his newest refinements to others. Of course, if a third party found out and reported it... ;)

Hmm, those were the days where GROSSers poured scorn on other empires for posting their strategies in private forums.
