Captain Jack Sparrow Captain Jack Sparrow

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

G.R.O.S.S. communication thread.

Cringe in fear do gooders. The G.R.O.S.S. (Get Rid Of Slimy alienS) empire is now formed. In less than an hour we have jumped 95 other Pacifist Doo Gooder victim empires and lept into 40th out of 135 ranked.

We are an evil empire bent on controlling everything and showing all the other empires out there who's boss. US. Are you listening Euro-"Oh lets let everyone be a senator and give em a vote doo gooder democracy alliance?" We come for you.

For a limited time, (untill I decide otherwise) 5 Pure Evil games, (or just impressing me with your game evilness) submitted will get you a Senatorship. Later, being the evil empire pyramid scheme we are, it will take 10. Of course, being the evil empire we are, that gives you no benefits, no pay, but all the alien carnage you crave most.

Now we do realize that sometimes, you just have to fake being good. You sometimes just have to infiltrate that pacifist party. We understand. But we aren't a kinder gentler empire and don't let their pacifism go to your head. And just sometimes, you gotta let the Aliens live (where else would you find slaves for the heavy metal lava mines?)

In the future, we shall update each other in the empire via this thread, brag of our conquests, drink blood wine, and generally just poke fun (creatively and humorously) at those players whom we find to be too goody goodyish.

Our mottos.

G.R.O.S.S. Where being good is merely a temporary strategy.

Just win baby.

Here's your ration of skin you do gooder wimp Drengin slime. Now get back to work

EBZeroMatrix you have been made a senator.

I repeat. Cringe in fear, we come for you.

Email of the day.

Dear Joe Liberman. After your poor showings in these primaries so far, I suggest you get out for the good of the party.

Sincerely: Howard Dean.

I will be in contact with Cari to ask if this is possible and the reasons

I have asked CariElf and the system doesn't allow them to move the threadzilla/jedzilla :sniff!:

Oh well... WE'll keep her alive anyway!

I posted a 19k maso cultural... Got my 20-games medal, yay! :D Couldn't quite pull off the military victory this time... I didn't have avatar tech yet, but the Altarians had 2 overlords already in play!

Us too, I think we're gonna feed Jedzilla every now and then just to jeep her alive ;)

Congrats Thelon! :CONGRAT: You've been promoted to Commodore as well!

I started to catalogue Threadzilla several months back and Pirate Lagoon doesn't come close to reflecting all that I have saved. Today I thought about moving her one post at a time over to the Empires forum, but I think I'll just update my catalogue. Restoring Threadzilla in the Empires forum would be fraught with outside interruptions. Preserving her glory in Pirate Lagoon allows for the best parts of her to be saved. :)

Whoo hoo! Didn't even see the promotion... What causes that?

And how do I get to be "Very Evil"? Chaotic Evil is certainly mire piratical, and the way I play; I'm just curious.

(Anyone else notice the hypocrisy of the Jedi? "Jedi Republic... EMPIRE"? ;) )

Wooohooo congrats Thelon.

You're fine with chaotic evil there thelon.
But you have to submit more evil games to get the very evil tag.

No. What is the hypocrisy of the jedi? Should I read their thread?

(Hypocrisy comment arose from the idea of a Republic Empire. An Empire implies an Emperor, someone with extreme and absolute authority... something a Republic would not have. The Old REPUBLIC was removed by Palpatine in favor of his EMPIRE, for example!)

Awww well when it was the Republic (no jedi), they declared war on us for covertly, and not so covertly tampering with their senate elections. We smashed em and the jedi rose from their ashes) We've been friendly ever since.

Many dictatorships call them selves republics however.
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics for example.
The Peoples' Republic of China.
The German Democratic Republic (east Germany)

and yet the EMPIRE was mostly remobeved by the Rebellion who incidently became the New REPUBLIC.. who then got their senateship smacked around by the Vong and are now.... is it Galactic FEDERATION/ALLIANCE or something else.. its been a while..

Gerakken is now back to prowling the shadows of known Meta space. Just don't expect much right now. I return to see many changes not only in empires, but the very structure of the Meta itself. Catching up on all of this could take some time. So, I come first to the Galciv thread I always return to, Threadzilla, despite changes on the board that might alter the mighty Beast of Threads herself.

As for myself, a lot has happened and I have been away so long that I believe I owe some sort of explanation. In short: I got severe medical complications, causing financial disaster and changing my life. I did have some time once in a while to come here and I should have come, but my mind was occupied more with my troubles than with thoughts of gaming or coming here. The situation is under better control now and I now have more time (and, more importantly, the inclination) to hang around the Meta.

Well, love it, hate it, don't care or don't-know-who-the-heck-this-guy-is, the Spymaster returns. I'll grab a keg out of the hold and make myself back at home. :)

Ill take the latter (only rumors reach these ears).

And I will walk by with a big plate of nachos and another keg! :CONGRAT:
Welcome back

Who the heck is this guy? Spymaster, huh? Sounds familiar...

(whispers)

What? He's that sneaky little paparazzo who took those photos of me when I was - I'LL KILL HIM! >:(

Seriously - um, I don't know what to say. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, and definitely glad things have improved enough for you to pop in. I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I wish you all the best. Take care, matey.

Unacceptable, 3 days without a post!

27k MilVic.... Got to actually *use* Overlords in combat! Woot! Especially Overlords boosted by 2 full military starbases (Modules, not resources)! Conquer through attrition -> "store" constructors until 2 warships are ready, move them into the target sector and drop full military loadouts (starting with Interdiction and Repair), let the warships pound the defending assaults into smithereens, bring in da troops, defend new planet as the enemy dashes himself helplessly against the starbase-boosted warships, then repeat!

Also, was attacked by an anitmatter missile for the first time... lost an avatar to it, but I suppose even the police can learn a few pirate tricks! (Given the scores of DNs and AVs I have destroyed this way, I'm surprised they didn't pick it up sooner!)

There you go, Threadzilla... sorry to starve you lke that... Good Threadzilla!

The Book of GROSS, page 147: Verily, the faithful still come. The old ways die hard, and the pirates' love for the Queen of Beasts is still strong. The Sea of Stars is always a harsh place, but so long as there is alcohol to loot and aliens to cook there will always be a place for Threadzilla.

One weakness of the computer is that it does not use amm's effectively.
