Initial thoughts on GalCiv and suggestion..

First of all....What's MOO3? Haven't even opened it since GalCiv hit the computer. Love it.

I'm running 1.02, so maybe some of this stuff has been done already, but here a couple of things I'd like see changed/added.

I'd like a way to enter the quantity directly when loading a Colony ship. The arrows are pretty useless and dragging the marker is in increments that are too large with higher population planets. The wheel button gets around this a bit, but wheeling for 15 seconds is irritating too.

When you double-click on a ship and you set it to Guard or Sentry, the window you're on stays up but the focus behind the window has switched to the next ship (and it's not obvious) and I've had cases where I thought it didn't take a couple times and guarded a bunch of ships I didn't intend to.

When in the initial turn summaries where you specify planet actions for planets that completed something, I'd like access to some type of mini map which shows where in the galaxy the planet I'm on is. Hard to remember and that might affect my decision on what to build.

Just a few early comments. I'm still in my first game (biggest map) so it's taking some time, but I love it so far.

The "Guard" option for ships isn't the only place that happens.

My problem was with a colony I wanted to disband. I hit the "Destroy Colony" button, decided it hadn't worked & hit it a couple more times.

Had to go find the two (fortunately not well-developed) colonies that I'd just wiped out along with the first one :p
