What are the impact of leaving UP?

i hate it when they pass resolution to share technologies when i'm way ahead of the rest. what will leaving UP do to your empire?

If you leave the UP you can no longer trade with any UP members. I've yet to see the benefit of ditching the UP but I guess it could provide that extra difficulty for the people who think Incredible is a cakewalk.

If you're worried about the UP resolutions, try jacking up your influence. Or trade tech/ships/whatever for influence points (if money isn't an issue at the moment).
