Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.
7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Just keep reloading the game and trying until you actually get into the game and play. This is a Windows problem, not a problem with Sins or 7DS.

Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might
Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection.
TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.
Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order
Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.

TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.
The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine
Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan.
Ship research boosts weapon performance.

DARK FLEET- modified Vasari
The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey.
Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.

Imperial Armada- from Star Wars
Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer.
Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.

Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates
Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery.
Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships

Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games
Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.

Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games
Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.

Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games
Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.

Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods)
The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.

Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games
As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.

Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers
The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

No, not yet.  They never have been "complete" per say.  Icons and stuff takes time, and I haven't been sweating the small stuff that eats up LOADS of time.

Good news however, is that I now have ALL the Kohr-Ah ships fully functional.  Just need to add the SA-MATRA for thier Starbase, and they should be good to go shipwise.  Researches and icons still need to be sorted out.

 

MAJOR STRIDES happening now folks...  Oh, and people, thank HARPO999 for his MANIFEST maker, it rocks, and is making this go WAY faster.  So sing his praises if you see him online or in a post.

somewhere around 50% is my guess. the easiest would be the Vanilla factions (of course) and the Imperials, adding the Ur Quan Kor-Ah and *hopefully next release* the Kzer-Za. Also the pirates use many of the meshes already in use. The hardest would be the Dark, TCA, Atlantains, and the Tri Pirates (think regular non playable pirates on Barry Bonds strength Steroids)

I am more like 25%, as I don't even have any of the Stars or planets done yet.  And yes, many more races to go.  My goal right now is to get the Kohr-Ah and Atlantians hammered out, then release a partial Alpha test.

I will be modding heavy tonight.

Danman, do you plan on releasing 2.5 for 1.02 or wait until Stardock puts up 1.03?

In this thread, Blair said the devloper exe for 1.03 was done also(reply 21).

The developer exe's for 1.03 and 1.17 have also been submitted. They will be appearing on the downloads page as per usual.

Releasing for 1.03 would probably require more converting, but you would have the developer exe to help.

Hopefully Stardock will be able to spare people from working on Demigod to put the patches for Sins and Entrenchment on Impulse soon.

Begin May, Blair have say that 1.03 and 1.17 will be released in one week... we are alomst one month later and nothing... if the release of 1.03 and 1.17 follow the same pattern that for the release of Entrenchment, maybe we will have it for Christmas... If something is really ready, why so big delay in the release ? If modders was waiting each time that a new release/patch is announced, no mod will be existing by now...

I believe that the delay is because Stardack, not Ironclad, is the one actually resposible for making the updates available, and they have been swamped with stuff for Demigod. They even had to pull people off other projects, so they didn't have anyone to put up 1.03+1.17. Now that the problems with Demigod are starting to settle down, I would actually expect a release soon.

Aah, I heard about an update, looked all over at stardock and here nothing. :)

Danman when you are ready to release the Mod stop over at Game Fanatics Vault sign up, I will setup a special category for this huge Mod project, a repository if you will, for future files we well.

kyogre12 had a few problems learning FTP and the parameters for linking to the file once uploaded.I will stick by him till he finally understands it, ( Wonder how many files services go this far for the members? hmmm )

My fault being a bad teacher, but it proves that we go out of our way to help everyone get their files online and link it all over for everyone to download. I had to put up his Mod for him, but I rather teach anyone how to do it, have their name on as poster and owner of file. If I upload it then you can't edit it or add anything.

I did check out the public release you had & the screens posted here are amazing looking. :)

Yes, it is translation in English... It happen that i mix some words from the 3 languages that i use everyday... French is my mother language, English and Dutch are self learned... My basic Russian is learn from my child...

 

The post i have made was mainly for French speaking people... have simply add some English, so the post will not be deleted by someone who don't understand French...

 

Anyway, remember that stardock has to QA the patch first, and that Demigod is using a lot of their resources.

 

Don't know... when i read "ready", i think "ready"... meaning that only the task of upload it remain ( something who can be made in a few minutes )... when it is not "ready", it is a "alpha", a "beta" or a "RC" ( Release candidat )... so, maybe they have a RC and are busy fine tune some last things...

You need 7zip ... http://www.7-zip.org/ ... for now, this is the compression tool who give the better compression and who accept a lot of format...

 

Supported formats:

  • Packing / unpacking: 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2 and TAR
  • Unpacking only: ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, DEB, DMG, HFS, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MSI, NSIS, RAR, RPM, UDF, WIM, XAR and Z.

DANMAN, I think some place I mentioned I uploaded your Mod to my server do you can avoid all those silly file services trying to make someone pay for free files. :annoyed: I am adding 2.1.7z, with all the images you have located here. I made a category called DANMAN Games, file repository for all your work. (Fallout Mods will have another DANMAN Games category though hehe) 

I was here looking for all your screenshots to put into your DANMAN Gallery. :) Torrents for your Mod is nice, though I don't use them no more. To much risk of trojans viruses etc, had enough headaches.

Now you will have another mirror or home for your files. XD

I am looking for a screen shot to include with your Mod, only reason it isn't online now. :D

Okay, I don't mean to beat a dead, very irritating horse but something caugfht my eye that worries me.

      I have 1.16 (Don't shoot me....yet), and the OP says that 2.5 will be available for entrenchment. indeed, some who have previously posted have said that the enxt release (assuming it is 2.5) will be entrenchment only. Now, as one who only has vanilla 1.16 and is far too poor to upgrade, I must voice my concern. I had been truly looking forward to playing the new 7 Deadly Sins, as I had played the last release and loved it, so I would appreciate some somple (and not horribly viscious) clarification, please.

So i came back after a few months of no Sins, and decided to check out this mod since it was pretty much the best and biggest one at that time =)

But frankly im dissapointed. It STILL isnt compatible with either the latest patches, or the expansion..
And the readme mentions that it should ONLY be played on High settings, otherwise it minidumps..
So with the risk of sounding whiny, this mod essentially cant be played with the latest version nor the expansion, and it can also not be played with max graphics... What is the point of such a massive mod then?

Patch & expansion compatability is the single most important thing with mods, and the ability to play them with max graphic settings is something that should be taken for granted. I'll come back again in 6 months and see if you finally got it working by then, but i suppose then another expansion will have been released which will again NOT work with this mod.. Sigh.

Dan is almost ready to start limited testing on the Entrenchment version of 7DS.  So we are endeavouring to keep atop the patches, but with a mod this large it is not that easy, and takes alot of time.

@ Heero_Miiyamoto

Can understand not having the expansion, but they are due another expansion soon enough, and not keeping up with the expansions kills a mod.  It is $10 for the expansion, I know for some that be alot during these times, but it is well worth it, so I would suggest upgrading when you can.

@ Baleur

Don't wait 6 months, we will have the mod out in Entrenchment within a month, 2 tops.  We will post when we move into testing so that everyone is aware how close we are to releasing 2.5.  We are adding alot of custom models with 2.5, and some of them are not yet ready, but will be by final release.

if your playing without entrenchment, then just get version 1.05, your not missing anything in the next release, its just going to be a conversion over to entrenchment. besides, even if the mod worked in 1.16, the only things that would change are balance changes, and only for the 3 original races, so nothing would really change!

Complain to Stardock... a new patch will be released soon but the modtools from the previous one are not yet out... without the dev.exe, it is very difficult to debug a mod with several thousand file !!!

Ohhh, i have game with all on very high and without mini dump... but using  linux and a personal wine version who flush at regular interval the texture memory leak in Sins... Stardock have resolve these problem in recent update and add some memory optimization too... with chance, if you have a powerfull enough system, the next 7DS version can maybe be played on very high...

By the way, 7DS 2.0/2.1  is the result of one year work from a big team... if Stardock release patch after patch, sometime one day after the previous, don't ask us to convert everything in a few days... specially when tools are not released...

 

Heero_Miiyamoto : Now, as one who only has vanilla 1.16 and is far too poor to upgrade, I must voice my concern.

The 7DS team have already given 6 version of Entrenchment for free these month... 10 more will become available for Beta Tester when the 7DS 2.5 Alpha/Beta is released... so, it will be your chance to have Entrenchment without spending money !!! By helping us beta testing 2.5 !!!

Hm, I think you are wrong. Sins entity files and other stuff can be modded easily with just notepad (I think you need to convert them tough, I have all the sins cofing on notepad, so ill pass it to you)
