Welcome to 7 Deadly Sins 2.5 FINAL for the latest version of Sins Entrenchment 1.053.
7DS can only be played at HIGH maximum settings. DO NOT USE VERY HIGH settings. This will cause a minidump. Also, there is an issue with Win7 64 bit. You will get crashes, load errors, or the game will not even play, with or without warning. Just keep reloading the game and trying until you actually get into the game and play. This is a Windows problem, not a problem with Sins or 7DS.

The ultimate combo mod, the "unoffical" expansion of Sins of a Solar Empire, or so it has been dubbed by the mod community.

New classes of strikecraft squadrons and Capitalships/Dreadnoughts/Titans with fixed number of Squadrons
Cruiser Squads of 3 strikecraft
Capital Squadrons of 6 strikecraft; largely used by Hangars
Titan Wings of 9 strikecraft; also used by Starbases

 

Mobile Starbases -all races possess starbases that can move about the gravity well to interdict enemy forces -assault carefully.

 

12 Playable Races with their own traits that make them more unique, from being a total offensive race, to a highly researching race. Each race now has its own unique tactics of gameplay.

Trader Emergency Coalition- solely based on trade and swarming, with little military might
Corpo-Nations that have rebelled against the Trade Order. Their military might stripped, they have turned to allying themselves with various factions and hiring mercs for protection.
TEC has new Battlecruisers, mercenary contracts, and EMP shells that bypass shields to a small degree.
Trade Coalition Armada- the military arm of the Trade Order
Once the development arm of the Trade Order, they are now the last hope for the Trade Order and humanity. Their ships are bricks with extreme range railguns.

TCA has state of the art weapons on traditional capitalships plus the Dresden and Athena Dreadnought and Beta Kol Titan.
The Orion Unity- modified Orion and Advent Combine
Some Orion split with the Atlantian-Orion Combine to guide the Advent towards their ultimate evolutionary stage. TOU ships are stronger, faster and deadlier; They can even travel between worlds using the Phase Stabilizer technology of the Tempest Titan.
Ship research boosts weapon performance.

DARK FLEET- modified Vasari
The Dark Fleet is all that remains of the Vasari. Where the weak Exodus ran often and fought rarely, the Dark Fleet seeks total dominion through force of arms. Their 5 Titan ships roam looking for prey.
Play style is familiar with greater armor, firepower and destructive potential.

Imperial Armada- from Star Wars
Guided by a clone of General Thrawn, the wasteland armadas of the Imperial Armada can employ powerful Force Alchemical Technology and even unleash the power of the Executor Super Star Destroyer.
Can unlock Jedi and/or Sith Holocrons for performance boost to defenses or offenses respectively -and at the expense of the other.

Rogue Cadre- Playable, custom pirates
Rob, pilfer, and steal your way to greatness. The Rogue Cadre is a melting pot of human cultures, Advent refugees and what remains of the Vasari. They have gathered against the TCA, TOU, Atlantian-Orion Combine and TOC to free humanity from tyranny, mysticism and slavery.
Posess the Precursor Titan and The Machine -the latter capable of capturing capitalships

Arilou Vanguard- UFO race from the Star Control Games
Not being of this dimension, the Arilou do not rely on money and normal means of transport or construction. They simply spawn ships from their "motherships", and travel through Quasispace, which propels them at near instant speeds from planet to planet.

Ur-quan KohrAh Third Doctrinal Fleet- Death race from the Star Control games
Totally aggressive, the Korh-Ah are built for battle. They are all offense, and barely any defense. They focus on exterminating every race and every planet they find, and almost every ship is capable of boming from orbit. Their goal is to "cleanse" the universe of all other sentient life, anything that is not an Ur-Quan.

Ur-Quan KzerZa Third Doctrinal Fleet- Slaving race from the Star Control games
Unlike their Kor-Ah cousins, the Kzer-Za believe in a diplomatic approach, let alone old habits of enslaving entire races into their Hierarchy. They have grown from their 10,000 year old ways, and are more good than bad now.

Atlantian-Orion Combine- the ultimate race, the seeders of life (the gods)
The Combine are part of the original Creator Alliance and responsible for seeding galaxies with genetic data. The Orion are the protectors and defenders until the Atlantian vessels can be fielded. Their greatest strength is their technology, but the loss of labs remove bonuses gained from research.

Taalo Horde- Ancient Rock race, from the Star Control games
As if the universe itself groaned for a protector, the Taalo have awakened from a million year slumber only to find old allies -the Atlantians and Arilou stripping the galaxy of semi-sentient flo-metal. They are the ultimate enviromental defender with a naive sense of justice. They have incorporated alien technology into their asteroid bodies with great results.

Triad of Creation- Ancient Destroyers of Worlds, Galactic Enslavers
The Triad of Creation, the Dnyarri, Antaran and Lapis, seek to eradicate all life in the universe. They nearly destroyed the Atlantian-Orion Combine in the Ori galaxy by turning their creation -the Vasari- against them. They emerged from within the Rogue Cadre taking a sizeable portion of their population into slavery. Their fleets struck the Taalo and Dark Fleet with vessels designed for infiltration nearly crippling the two factions.

nates, check our forums and ask there.  We've made a final push to get everything in that needed fixing in Alpha J so public doesn't have a hernia and use us for truss'.

7DS Manual is complete and will be included with the full public release when we release it.  Playtesters have access to the manual and hoping to get it hosted right at Danman Games.  It covers everything:

  • The Past 120 years since the Vasari Invasion to the Dawn of the 39th Century
  • Empire Assessments for the Arilou, Atlantian-Orion Combine, Dark Fleet, Empire, KohrAh, KzerZa, Rogue, Taalo, TCA & TEC, and The Orion Unity
  • Ship statistics, damage percent bonuses (why certain weapons do more against certain armors)
  • Ships of each empire (pages 13 to 82)
  • Using the Quick Reference
  • Quick References for planet defenses: Shields, hull, armor, antimatter, armor type, mass, credits, metal, crystal, tactical and fleet cost, crew, XP for killing, Max Range, and Total DPS.
  • QR for non-capitals: Role, shields, hull, armor, antimatter, armor type, antimatter, mass, credits, metal, crystal, fleet cost, max velocity, XP for killing, and weapon types, but not ranges.
  • QR for Capitals: Role, shield, hull, armor, antimatter, weapon type (not range), mass, credits, metal, crystal, fleet cost, crew and max velocity.

Why the Quick Reference? Every ship has been through the wringer to achieve a balanced credit, metal, crystal, mass, fleet cost, XP for killing, and max velocity. This was a total recalculation of everything in the game.

Ranges have been changed as well, Starbases, Planetary Offenses, Titans, Capitals, Battlecruisers, Long Range ships and systems, then finally the short range frigs and cruisers. A full table of ranges and DPS will be made available separate from the manual.

It weighs in at 35MB, 96 pages, Full Color PDF with forward and back navigation and top Keystone that returns user to the table of contents.  Dan has been wanting a manual for ages, but something always changes.  Now, we can maintain things enough to periodically update the manual.  An online version is planned, but another department is handling that.

Dan has given me the okay to say within 2 weeks.

Not everyone has the version Devs are using, we're on Alpha K v5a and it's locked in.  Dan's got it and he'll be doing the rest.

Hey, I finally remembered my password!

Anyways...

For those that don't know me, I'm the second in command of 7DS.  Dan is still in charge, and I guess you could say Samaz is third in command / MY right hand man.  (Just clearing up any hierarchal confusion that may have been caused.)

You guys are gonna love the new and improved capitals for the TCA and Empire.  The Empire finally has a titan, and the TCA got a ship that may seem fairly familiar to some of you...

I'm sorry to say it, but the Empire's superweapon / starbase will not be in the next release.  The guy who was making it (Thoumsin / fileosoft) hasn't been able to spend much time at home lately, so he hasn't been able to contribute much.  But you'll be happy to know that we're getting a texture whipped up for the shipyard he created, so we won't be stuck with an ugly gray mess for much longer.

Not much longer guys, hold in there.

Manual is huge btw at 96 pages and full color throughout, the cover art by RJ Hughes is simply amazing and his UI Skins equally stunning.

I have the manual hosted at Deviant Art under a Creative Commons License.  File is 35MB.  Download is free.  There is a message in the Atlantian text.  Manual has full navigation forward and back, also top Glyph returns user to table of contents.  Full credits take up the last two pages.

Damage Percent Bonuses and Quick Reference Guides are the smallest part of the manual.  The other 80 some odd pages feature ships and tons of storyline material that immerse the reader/player in their faction as well as breath life into the factions you will be facing.

This is also to encourage massive mods to get their own manuals out the door and surpass our manual.  In sports, I don't cheer for a team, I cheer for the plays.  So, You Modders... Get out there and do well.

Greetings All!

 

Wow it has been awhile since I have been here.  So, as you see, we have all been very busy, or sick, or busy, or sick...

But progress still continues, and we are by FAR dead.  In fact, DMG encompasses many other mods that are going on here today.  For example the Stargate: Invasion and Star Trek, Sacrifice of Angels 2.  We all work together as a team, either on the 7DS mod or other mods that make up our group.

As you can see, good things are coming.  I have made the surge to get the next version out this month, or perhaps, in the next few days if I have the time.  I want to push out the public Beta of 2.5 before Rebellion comes along, because we then need to switch gears for that.

We also need to get revved up to release a version for Diplomacy finally, since 2.5 officially works with Entrenchment.  I don't even own Diplomacy yet.

In either case, those of you who have stuck with us, or have been on the team, are in for a real treat.

Also to clarify, Scratch IS 2nd in command of 7DS, and Samaz is 3rd, so I fully back up those statements.  If they are posting here, it is usually important.

I'll be posting some teaser pics for you all soon to ogle at lol....

Yes,

7DS 3.0 will be completely modular, allowing the player to pick and choose which races they will want in the mod.

This will allow us to bring in the entire Star Gate and Star Trek universes, as well as more Star Control races I am working on.  Just to name a few.

And with the new Diplomacy memory tweaks and the modding potential of Rebellion, who knows what we might be able to do...
