I think I've found my level of play

I've been rather cautiously increasing the AI levels for a while, and I haven't lost a game since I was just learning (Lost half my empire to the Fundamentalist event in the middle of a war the first time I played evil, etc). All the way up to all brights, it wasn't a matter of would I win, but how/when.
Now that I'm getting into mixed bright/intelligent, I'm starting to feel serious presure. This is the first game that I could actually lose if the AI had the option of winning by Tech Victory. I managed to get all the early wonders and trade goods, but none of the later ones. The only reason I'm still in the running is because of other civs giving me all their tech for peace (for wars that they started).
It's 2203, the Drengin and Yor are gone, the Altarians are running away with the game and have full triangular alliances with the Torians and Arceans, and I'm wining and dining the Torians trying to be let into the club. At least I've got everyone to friendly/warm instead of hostile
My scores will stink, but I'm having fun.
