Oh well...I have had very little time to game recently anyway, so I'm secure in the fact that i've preordered and will get the beta when I get the beta.

It's tentatively scheduled to start mid-August

I preordered using my cc hopefully I get my beta key before it starts, seems people who used tokens got it right away!

Hey big news for all. On a gamespot interview with Chris Taylor, of GPG, and Brian Wardell, of Stardock, they give more details on the game that seem to address some major questions/concerns. Here is the big parts that are relevant to this thread:
1) a movie with ALL in-game footage that looks absolutely awesome, and
2) the BETA WILL begin NEXT MONTH.

I ordered today, i hope i'll be fighting the bugs with you guys next month

I am curious, can we get some rough guess when in August this beta will begin and when the pre-order will be charged to our bank accounts? I rather not get hit by an unannounced payment without sufficient funds in my account, as car repairs, fuel costs, and some hardware purchases drained mine till my pay on August 8th.

Our accounts will be charged as soon as the beta is released.

It will supposedly be in mid-August.

Thanks, Gnats3. In any case, I was able to eventually secure a small non-bank related loan to cover the pre-order in the event it does come before my next paycheck. I would have been rather disappointed to miss out on this beta.
