Yellow/Orange/Blue Systems

In my first game I sent out my Explorer and found a few nice systems but it looks as if I could colonize only yellow ones - there were bluish/orange etc. out there. When sending my scout there it doesn't even see whether there are any planets in there at all???

Sometimes a system doesn't contain any planets.

You can sometimes colonize on some blue, orange and green systems too, but it's way more likely that the yellow systems contain all the good planets. A yellow system contains at least one 15+ planet.

I was very lucky yesterday stumbling on a purple system with a 24 quality planet!

I found a purple system like that too. Hm... maybe purple is good. Mine had a 24, 16, 20, and 15 in it!

I've had habitable planets in most every type of system, but the best ones are almost always yellow stars. Many of my colonies in other systems are initially 13- and 14-quality worlds that I have upgrade.

I found a class 26 in a blue system. I was in awe. Altarians found some precursor tech, made all the planets betterby like 11 (or was it 10/9). Made the final into a nice 35... Again, I was in awe. The drengin's took it over 5 minutes after that...
