Uninstalling IP leaves blank icons

I installed IP4 and tried a few of the icon packs.

I then uninstalled it.

Now I'm left with lots of blank icons.

Is there a fix?

Did you revert back to default before uninstalling? If not you should re-boot,re-install IP,set icons back to normal, then uninstall IP.

I believe I did, but will try again.

You may want to read this if it doesn't work.WWW LinkIf you installed IP recently,a system restore is your best bet,if you have it enabled.Just back up anything else you saved since IP install then restore to a point before the install.Good Luck.

Did not work. And System Restore is not an option. Nor should it have to be.

I can't believe there is not a fix for this.

I must agree but it did work for others. You may want to post in the linked thread for IP4 and/or contact support. They may be more helpful, sorry I wasn't.

TeamTJ reinstalling IP4 and going back to default Icons should have worked. It's the normal procedure with all of the software from Stardock that changes things like WB, Cursors and such.

The only other thing is while you had IP4 installed did you make any other changes that could be the cause of your problem? If not then I would do as Wizard1956 suggests in reply #5.  ;)

I find that uninstalling IP through Impulse causes this problem, try reinstalling it then uninstalling IP through Stardock Central. That seems to work for me.

Good suggestion, because of Impulse we tend to forget that SDC is still available.  ;)

I tried it through SDC and it worked better. Still not 100%, but better.

I did submit a support request. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for the help!
