Tired of seeing the generic 'I want ____ demigod ingame'

Suggest a Demigod

The purpose of this thread is to supply stardock or whoever sees it with a general idea of what demigods
we want inside the game. Not nessecerially all of us will agree on one thing but this thread was made to
organize the thoughts and center the comments on demigod ideas rather then the random

In terms of seeing at least 5 of these, Im perfectly fine with them. What im NOT fine with is that:

-The thread usually only has a theme..period
-No details about the demigod itself
-No details on the type of skills or role it plays
-Assasin or General Type?

So I designed a simple form that YOU guys can fill out for demigods you'd like to see in the game.

[Name]: (Ex. Rook)
[Type]: (Assasin or General)
[Theme]: (Ex. Mechanical Giant]
[Skill Type]: (Ex. Can shoot missles for Area damage,
can deploy robot units for multiple lane dominance)
[Apperance]: (Ex. A Mid-Large size robot with turret hands
and missle shooting shoulders)
[Role]: (Ex. Tank, Caster DPS, Melee DPS, Support)
[Comments]: (Any specific added details thats 'special' about this demigod) 

Feel free to leave comments on other people's heroes. What you think of them, if you think it would be nice for the demigod to be in-game,
if you support or want to change up a demigod. The company listens to US, cause well..they got no one else to listen to :D

[Type]: Assasin
[Theme]: Time control
[Skill Type]: 

Sands Of Time: Active: Blast enemies with the sands of time aging them rapidly and reducing them to a dry dusty skeleton, Slow time making all enemies slower,

Reverse Time: Active: Reverse the time flow ten seconds removing any debuffs and removing all wounds from you and any nearby allies and causing you and nearby allies to be exactly where you were 10 seconds before you cast the spell.

The Ravages of Time: Active: Ages a group of enemies dealing a large amount of damage and causing them to be extremlwy weak. 

Erase: Active: Chronos changes the past and erases an enemy from existence. 

Redo: Passive: When Chronos drops below four percent health he imediatly shifts backward in time to where ever he was 30 seconds ago can only occur once every 2 min and healing him to 50% health

Foresight: Passive: Because of his knowledge of the future chronos can forsee his opponents attacks giving him a 30% chance to dodge enemy attacks.

[Apperance]: An old tall emaciated man with flowing robes that appears to be made of sand, his eyes look like diamonds and he has a short sword with a blade made of glass.

[Role]: A spell caster moves relativley slowly compared to other demigods with medium health deals reasonable damage with his regular attack but has devastating spells

[Comments]: Feel free to critque this guy

ok, I've got a few good ones, but I think I'll just post one for now.

[Name]Achiyalatopa  (this is the actual name of something from zuni myth)

[Type]Assasin

[Theme]Zuni Celestial Giant Creature

[Skill type]Movement oriented abilities; Jumps into the fray, throws in a few big attacks, then jumps out to recover.

[Appearance]A large creature with feathers of Flint Knives (These may be on a cloak, or on the creature itself). Uses a color pallete Of white with gold detailing.

[Role] harrassement and hit and run attacks. A guerrila fighter. Can deal a lot of damage quickly, but has very little health compared to other demigods.

[Comments] I'll paint up some images for this too later (Man I love being an artist).

Indeed i did know that soccer194 but he also was the god of time and kronos in greek and chronos in latin means time so i thought it was an appropriate name

Can somebody please tell me where to find a list of the demigod heroes that will be in the game? I need to know what already exists before I can know what I can suggest.

I'm not going to suggest a specific demigod character at this time. But I do have some generalized suggestions:

From screenshots (and online video) I've seen so far, Demigod seems to have a unique character and universe style all its own. However, that's not necessarily a good thing in my book. It seems far too dark and... inhuman to me. I'm looking... no, hoping for more human-looking characters. Specifically, I hope at least some demigods will be inspired by traditional, stereotypical pantheons including:

* NORSE - Something along the lines of Valkyrie Profile (1 or 2)

* GREEK / ROMAN - Perhaps something similar to God of War (PS2)

* VEDIC Pantheon (India)

* ASIAN - Chinese and Japanese mythology

[Type]: General

[Theme]: Architect

[Skill Type]:

Tower of Light/Dark: builds a tower of light/dark depending on which team the Mason is on.

Repair: mends a structure of choice for a lot of health.

Archer Tower: builds an archer tower.

Rubble Golems: builds minions out of rubble created by destroyed structures, friendly or otherwise.

Repair Aura: Structures inside the aura receive minor healing.

Tools of the Trade: structures are built faster/stronger.

[Apperance]: Burly man wielding a hammer, and has an anvil tied to his back with chains.
[Role]: Support/Defenses
[Comments]: The background can be virtually anything. (e.g. father is the greek god of the forge [I'd say the name but I can't spell it] and he is trying to show his father that he is the greater architect, or a human born with the incredible gift to build structures with a thought...a gift so incredible that it's almost...GODLY!!!)

Seriously though, I trust in the dev's ability to write (I loved Erebus' story)

[Name]: Starcrossed Lover
[Type]: General
[Theme]: Elizabethan Playwright
[Skill Type]: Switches between Comedy form, and Tragedy Form.  When switching forms the Starcrossed Lover will swap out the appropriate mask.  His abilities will summon different types of creatures based on his forms, as well as buff and debuff enemies.
[Apperance]:  Think of the Phantom of the Opera, mixed with Shakespeare.
[Role]: Support (Maybe)

[Comments]:Overall, change this guy however you choose.  The main thing I'd like to keep in is his ability to change between Comedy and Tragedy forms.  Whether he's a general or assassin is up to you, or even his role as a general.  I thought I'd just make a quick first impression.

[Name]: The Void commander

[Type]: General

[Theme]: Massive minion commander ( he has a lot of grunts)

[Skill Type]:

(Non-passive skills)

Roll Call- he opens up a portal with a wierd jet-like stone, and then minions appear.

March Forth- he says some imperative words to his minions which makes them all more efficient. his minions get an attack damage and speed boost.

Commander´s wrath- His only damage dealing skill. He grabs the jet-like stone and he shoots a dark beam that causes a dark aura that lowers the target´s movement speed and attack damage for a short period.

Recall- the general screams something, which cause the minions to come back to him and act as a substitution. The commander does not recieve any damage during that period, though his minions die and cannot attack. And it completely wastes all of his mana.

(Passive skills)

Red alert- The general is always alert and ready for anything, which gives him a boost in dodging the first attack and at the last level, the skill makes sure he never revieves a critical hit during his enemy´s first blow.

Army experience- He was ocne a human, you gotta give him that, so he knows how the army leards think. Any minions near him will get an increased critical hit chance.

Military reputation- let´s him control more minions. It´s kind of a mutual skill with Roll call.

Void experience- After surviving those harsh years in the void, he got used to his surroundings. He gets a mana boost, and both him and his minions get an extra damage boost.

[Apperance]: He is human-size, wears a drak grey trenchcoat that covers his whole body, his body is covered with void veins,(kinda looks like lightning running through his body), his skin is slighly more pale than his trenchcoat and has white hair, always holds a jet-like void stone in one of his hands.

[Role]: Summoner,front-line flag capturer and anti-infantry. Good defender

[Comments]: His background story should be a general who got trapped in the void somehow. He is very strong with his minions, but is basically a wimp without them. He´s fast so he can run in the nick of time.

[Name]: The Darkness

[Type]: General

[Theme]: High Risk, High reward

[Skill Type]: The darkness would have two forms (ala Queen of thorns style concept)

Form 1: This form the darkness is withdrawn, shielding itsef and acts as a caster. It grants a defensive bonus, mana regen increase, and a ranged normal attack. However, the main attack damage is reduced in effectiveness. Skills for this form as follows:

-Apparitions: The Darkness summons lesser incarnations of evil to fight by it's side. They mimic the form changes of the Darkness and as such, gain similar changes / benefits.

-Blackend Soul: The Darkness infects all targets within a targetable (Rain of Ice) aoe radius, doing light-moderate dmg initially. The pure evil of the attack continues to do additional damage for a time after (causing total damage to be similar to other aoes).

-Mind Wrack: The Darkness assults the targets mind, causing them to take damage and become sluggish from the assult (slowed movement). Half the dmg taken is also done to the targets mana.

Form 2: The Darkness reveals itself to it's enemies, hiding nothing. This form grants a health regen increase and damage increase from normal attacks. However, The Darkness holds nothing for it's own protection and suffers increased damage recieved as consequence (ALL sources). Also, this form The Darkness assumes a melee attacker role. Skills for this form is as follows:

-Dark Omen: The Darkness places a dark omen upon the target, doing damage over time and slowing their attack speed and Cooldowns.

-Impale: The Darkness uses it's weapon to impale the target, dealing damage and applies a debuff that reduces the effect of healing effects by 15-25%

-BEGONE!: The Darkness releases a shockwave of vile energies flinging away opponents and dealing light damage. (intended to work on hostile demigods)

[Apperance]: The Darkness in form one would resemble a darkly robed figure encircled by a shadowy cloud / aura. No legs or feet will be seen and it seemingly floats across the ground (it'll have a very slight resemblance to a ringwraith). A Weapon (thinking spear or sword) will be floating beside it and will be flung at enemies as a ranged attack. In form 2, the robe peels away and is revealed to be gargoylish wings (think "Big Chill" from Ben 10). No legs or feet are present just the continued shadow cloud for a lower body.

[Role]: Damage dealer / Demigod Killer
[Comments]: The darkness would be different from others in that it can be a caster or melee killer with minions.

And sorry, Gallstaff can not save you from this "darkness".

first of i wanna say some of these ideas are really cool!

heres mine, which has probably been said, anyhow

[Name]: N/A

[Type]: N/A

[Theme]: takes damage, protection

[Skill Type]:

active: a taunt ability to make everything nearby attack him for 4 seconds

passive: reduces damage to all demigods on the map by a certain %

passive: when attacked it reflects a % of damage back to the attacker, goes up two 50% or some other high amount

active: swaps location with another demigod on the map, which has below 30-50% hp, has a 6-10 second casting time

 

[Apperance]: a larger minotaur, similar to the spawning creeps, but has more futuristic armor

[Role]: takes large amounts of damage

[Comments]: background story, a minotaur which took a priests potion, which turned him into a large metallic minotaur

it would be easy to make that silent assasin type demigod from samurai or ninja. Samurai ofcourse could use katana as his weapon. and he could make backstab kind of attacks and flee quickly. ofcourse he should have fewer hp than other because he can escape more easily. if you want to make it more ranged then you should take ninja type instead.

 

But i think it would be cool to have minotaur like demigod, which would have big axe in his weapon and somekind of stomp ability to stun enemies. I also got another idea, which i think would be coolest thing in the game and i would be very man like, which everyone have asked before this post. And it would be Viking like demigod with double axe.

 

also one suqqestion for ranged type could be centaur demigod, with spear ranged abilities. and have somekind of rush ability, that would stun enemy demigods for awhile, so it could be used support demigod. But i think the game lacks at the moment flying units totally and they should be done. they could fly over small obstacles  like canyons.  so they could escape easily but ofcourse the balance should be maintained so they should be more fragile so it could be killed even it could make escape more easily than other characters.

[Skill Type]: If Assassin: Strong sword attacks and dps shadow attacks, If General: Focuses on summoning samurai Oni and making illusionary copies of himself.
[Apperance]: Samurai with a dark mist enveloping him.
[Role]: If Assassin: focuses on killing lots of lesser enemies to cut off aid and increase gold flow. If General: Focuses on keeping the enemy distracted from the actual goal would be advised for players who rely heavily on tactical assaults.
[Comments]: This would, I believe be a very well liked character.

[Theme]: Giant Dragon
[Skill Type]: Flaming breath, heavy claw strikes, think Unclean Beast meets Rook, faster then Rook slower then the Unclean Beast, more direct damage then the Unclean Beast less damage then Rook
[Apperance]: Large brownish red dragon very savage looking.
[Role]: Balanced sort of a jack of all trades, good at many things, but not as good as demigods who focus on one thing (I.E. can kill other demigods fairly well, but nowhere near as good as Regulus) 
[Comments]: I suppose that a dragon would make a good general as well due to their ability to lay eggs.

[Name]: Duelist
[Type]: Assassin
[Theme]: Gunner
[Skill Type]:  Has two weapons, rifle and dual pistols. He uses different skills with each weapon (Torch Bearer style).

Rifle:

[Active] Double Shot- Makes the duelist shoot twice when attacking the next 3 attacks. If shooting a demigod that is close to another one, each one of them recieves the damage of 1 shot.

[Active] Scatter Shot- Shoots a rain of bullets over a small AoE.

[Active] Smoking Bullet- Shoots a bullet in a center of a small AoE, deploying deadly gas that will damage opponents inside this AoE and slow them a bit until they are out of it. Will cause minor damage to allies also but won't slow them.

[Passive] Headshot- Gives a chance to shoot the enemy in the head, dealing extra damage and stunning for a short period of time.

Pistols:

[Active] Bullet Barrage- Single target nuke-like skill. The duelist rapidly fires a number of bullets at the target (each level of the skill the number grows), each bullet dealing 50% of the duelist's normal attack.

[Active] Divine Shot- This is basically a nuke. The duelist concentrates divine energy to his pistols, releasing a powerfull shot that deals a lot of damage (even shit-load of damage in high levels lol).

[Active] Naplam Gunpowder- The duelist shoots bullets with special gunpowder dealing moderate damage and ignites that target with naplam fire that burns it. If the burning demigod (or any unit) engages closly to allies, a minor similar effect is delivered, dealing less damage than the major one.

[Passive] Starfe- Allows the duelist to shoot the enemy while moving, but with less accuarcy so the enemy may avoid the shots.


[Apperance]: A tall, thin human looking guy with a long scarf-like thing around his neck, also covering his mouth, sliding on his shoulder and his back. When wielding a rifle, he grows one angel wing on one shoulder. When wielding the pistols, he grows a devil wing on the other shoulder.
[Role]: DPS, a bit caster
[Comments]: Good solo hero. The rifle is good for multiple enemies fighting, while pistols are excellent for 1v1 fights. The rifle is stronger than the pistols but fires slower, the pistols are weaker but fire faster. He is very quick, but has extremly low armor, and his resistance to magic is lower, and he recieves 150 additional damage from magic.

 

BTW jericho79 very nice idea of the darkness!

[Background] : the powerful soul of a dead God that has found his way out of the abyss . trying to regain is place in the pantheon .
[Apperance] : a blue soul covered with a black armor , wealding a gigantic sword !
[Strenght] : Powerful attack , fast running speed
[weakness] : Slow attack speed , low hp

[Role]: melee DPS , hit and run , Kamikaze



[Skills type]:

1.Slam-A powerful front slash . the enemy get stun . -> at higher level it would be AoE
2.illusion ( instant )- duplicate himself , last a few seconds . Illusions don't deal DMG and look exactly like the Spirit to other players . -> at higher lvl , there are more illusions
3.Soul eater ( passive ) - every enemy killed get absorb by Spirit . When spirit perish , he released all the soul he absorbed into a powerful nova blast !
4.shift ( instant) escape in the dead realm making enemies unable to deal damage to him and vice versa . speed decreased ( duration a few seconds , cooldown would be long )
5.charge - Run straight foward using is sword as a spear dealing dmg to everything in his path .
6.Mind over body - The soul of Spirit become physical and the armor and sword become Soul-like , for a few second your defense will be decrease to 0 , but all your attack will ignore enemy defense !
