Just as a reminder here, folks, BETA 1 of Demigod is an engine test.  It is to see how well it works on a wider variety of hardware configurations.

For instance, my default nVidia 7950 drivers that came with Vista did not work right with the game.  

In addition, we can discover any and all Impulse problems people have with installing the game.  

Once in the game, the strategic features and content have been severely curtailed and a lot of visual content isn't even in.

If you are finding yourself enjoying the game, you should probably not play beyond beta 1 as future updates, will be so much more fun by comparison that it may cause permanent damage.

I've experienced 2 total PC crashes, a few hours ago, when Impulse was trying to install the game : where do I report that ? (It did finally work on the 3rd attempt, because I was lucky in my troubleshooting.)

i played it and everything lags as soon as i start the actual game. is that a driver problem? or is that just the game. if so i tried getting it updated and couldnt find the right one on here (the bottom right button) help please!

Post in the beta forum along with your technical specifications (DxDiag w/ video information, OS version). If you don't know how to make a DxDiag, google is your friend.

Also, rook is disgusting. There really doesn't seem to be any way to stop him from stunning you with a boulder and then nearly killing you with the hammer slam. It's getting really annoying losing most of my health before I've begun to fight. Oh well, torchbearer does better against groups, so there.

AHHHHHHHHH!

 

I like the archer dude... he's not so good at the start but after getting some good quipment he can certainly do a lot of damaga, especialy if he's with another guy who can watch his back and stun the enemy if needed.  The mines pretty much suck though, but not gonna worry about balencing any time soon :-D

Is it just me or does regulus rock with the gauntlets of rokkur? They're cheap and he gets enough splash to take out waves of fools like nobody's business. The mines do suck, and I find he dies too fast, especially if the rook gets him with the two hit instapwn.

It's quite fun the first couple of games but I can already see it dragging after that. No other items, no difficulty slider for the enemy AI, only three demigods, no more new-game-smell... :)

Here's hoping the next phase isn't too far off. :)

I had fun on the Beta especially when i pretty much made my Rook God with 6k Hp 1.20 atk speed and over 1700+ a hit that was fun
