[AI Bug]

I was fighting against another demigod at the beginning of the level and got him down to around 1/5 life. He retreated to heal, and I didn't see him again until the end of the game when I finally got to the citadel. Once my troops attacked his citadel he moved to the defense, so he wasn't stuck, I think he had just been waiting by the life crystal. (He was still lvl 3, so it wasn't just that I never saw him either, not that the curent maps are big enough for that to happen anyways.)

It was the waterfall map, 1v1, I was Rook, he was Unclean Beast, AI name Breakdancing Kyle.

So far it's just happened once, I'll post again with more details if it continues.

Thxxx for the feedback ... but that is a very well known « bug », since the very beginning of the pre-order beta -- 5 weeks ago. It has happened far more than once, to many of us :

Sometimes, during a game, one or more of the A.I. demigods stop participating to their team's offensive drive and passively "loiter" in the back, at the life crystal. If they perceive a nearby attack, they usually respond ... but by then, their team is most often close to defeat.

I've lost many games because of that « bug » : 1 or 2 of my team8s were going AWOL, leaving me alone to shoulder the burden of the fight. I don't mind losing, but not because of a « broken feature ».

Since I've not played a lot of the recent updated build, I don't know if the problem has been reduced -- but it doesn't seem to be fixed, considering your report.

I do not recall having read any explanation from a SD or GPG representative concerning that state of affair : is it so difficult to fix ? Please point us to a pertinent thread if such an explanation has already been given.

End of quote

Isn't it pretty much a given that every bug posted in the Beta Feedback board is acknowledged by GPG or Stardock, whether or not they reply? I mean, if this bug were in the full game you'd have reason to worry, but right now it's still very much in early development. Also, if this bug is as widespread as you say it is, then I'm sure they're working on a fix.

The AI wandering off for coffee at random is a long-known issue. The AI won't be getting a heavy workover until later when more stuff is implemented.
