Your thoughts on Regulus.

Is he really that bad?

Ok, we now know that Regulus is going in for an overhaul (Or TLC, whichever you prefer :D)

My question is: Is Regulus really that bad? I'm not complaining about him being removed, just asked what other people think. A lot of the people that I play with really do feel hes underpowered, myself included...sometimes. I've played him a few times and noticed a LOT of utility but not much when it comes to a streight up fight. To be expected I spose, but does the utility make up for the fact that he can't stand toe to toe in most cases?

So, what do you think? Is he Terrible? L2P? Why?

I would say regulus is still too weak.  Unlike others, he know lacks an area effect attack which hampers his use aganst minions and his base attack and snipe are too weak late game against nay one withhp or armor items.  He still needs more work in this respect.

I don't think that he is weak. Snipe with tracking device is guaranteed kill of fleeing low hp demigods across whole map. And if you have decent items, you can quite easily kill demigods by repeatedly throwing maxed out mines at their feet+they'll vaporize any creep around them, including general minions. Regulus is once again my favorite demigod(right after Torchy :inlove: ).

I was getting trashed as a Reg against a TB that was 9 levels lower than me in every engagement. I was fully kitted out and have a fair idea of what I'm doing so there seems to be a problem there.

Reg's mines are great against creeps and demigods... his snipe is effective... the tracking let's you tag and hide as you snipe away (add cooldown items to make this incredible)... with his wings his standard dps goes up and he can start 1 hitting creeps... I feel that he does what he specializes in well....

For now I'm more concerned about Lord Erebus then regulus too...

I trash everything as a Regulus, get Beyond Godlikes every game, and I can't kill shit when I play Torchbearer. I doubt it's Regulus. He's WAY better than he used to be and everyone else seems to have been nerfed as well.

depends on how you build him i suppose. And TB in fire mode is pretty deadly for DGs I've trashed both with me TBvReg and me RegvTB.

Regulus is fine now.  He is awesome early game but late game lacks a little.  This is because if you focus damage on him you are sure to get killed in two hits.  When catapultasuarii hit you can't solo creeps any longer.  You just need to balance him with a little health and I suggest dodge.  Snipe is awesome because you have to be aware of the other lane and can hit them hard from way far away.  His mines are fine against creeps also when you play him you just need to be careful.  He is made for high dps low health period.

His Snipe ability is pretty strong how it is, once its level 3 or so it becomes a pain to get away from him, in team fights or 1 Vs 1, you get on low hp, he just waits till your about to go out of Snipes range, targets you and you take a lot of damage and he gets the kill.

Then again while you are casting the spell you are vulnerable to attack and being stunned.

Hos move which adds bonus damage and takes 32 mana per shot is useless, I get the extra stats instead. The explosion on impact doesn't really seem to do anything really, the damage could do with an increase.

Through War Rank 6/Cats I'm playing Regulus without items (I'll pick up Boots of Speed early) and I find Angelic Fury pretty useful both as a splash-damage grunt killer and 1 v 1 against another ranged demi, in fact I never turn it off.  I put my points in this, stats, and mines and it seems to work pretty well.

Only thing is that the ultimate of AF would be alot better if it were a buff to weapon or movement speed, IMO.  By the time Reg gets it he doesn't need an AOE spell.  Play to his strengths.
