Laid back gamers looking to organize some fun Sins games with other like minded players

My family and a friend(6 total) have been playing SINS for a few months now and play twice weekly around ~7:30pm-~11pm PST on Tuesday and Saturday nights.  We are currently playing Entrenchment with the Bailknights mod. 

I'd say we are all intermediate players(except for one new player who is getting up to speed) that prefer to build up balanced fleets over spamming large numbers of single ship types.  We also play with the settings set to small fleet sizes and set the build speed to slow(all other settings to normal).  If anyone out there is interested in hooking up with us for some larger games(4v4, 2v2v2v2, FFA with Diplomacy) and can play consistently on the night we play(we miss some nights here and there), then send me a PM and maybe we can get something organized soon.

PS: with v1.11 out! Unmodded are soo fun! So let's roll! But if you guys want to use your mods "Sins plus.." might want to send the link so I can also get it!

The mod adds alot of planet variety to the game. The rules stay the same as goes for everything els. We are planning to reduce the cost on the dark armadda from 500 crystal to 250 and make a slight reduction on urban planets max populaton down to around 800 max.  We like the game to be fair for everyone. I will have the link for the final sinsplusbailknight mod that we are using as soon as we finish our current game and get some more players.

I would be interested in getting together with a laidback group.  I have played some but I am looking to play more and I have also not ever played Sins online yet.  I welcome the idea of a balanced fleet and not spamming, with some eye towards using the tools and creating strategy and awesome battles to remember.   I am US Central time and can play from 7pm - 10pm during the week on specificed days or weekends.

Thats the whole point, some planets you benefit more then others. Toxics give you additional asteroid resources and to make up for the negative income build multiple trade ports.

Star Paladin, Star Wolf, would be interested, but no mods for us (sorry, we just don't ever do those since we playtest too).  But we can't play much till after Christmas/New Years.

When the Entrenchment Beta comes out we'd be happy to play an un-modded game.  Until that though, we would like to keep to our mod.

We'll post a link soon for our Mod.  We are currently finishing a long FFA.

Here is the modified Sinsplusbailknights mod that we are using. This is a slighty different mod then on the sinsplus sub forums. The adjustments are the reductions as I posted earlier. As I said earlier we try to make everything balanced as possible to make the game fair for everyone. We look forward in getting a few good dedicated players together to have a good gaming experience!

We still need a few more players who don't mind using the mod we are playing. So far I think we have 2 and could use a few more before we start our next game. Please PM Accipter0600 so we can coordinate our games. We also, have a ventrilo server we use for voice comms for team matches.

I think we are looking at a 2 vs. 2 vs. 2 vs. 2(team ffa really) game for out first one, assuming we get 4 people who can play at our times consistantly enough.

Or Maybe a 4 vs. 4, but I think our group would totally suck at that.

Fridays are days we normally do not play. We primarely play on Thursday and Saturday nights at 8:00pm PST. If thursdays end up being to late, maybe we can switch that day.

We are going to start a new team game on Sunday at 8:30 PST. If you are interested PM me so we can coordinate game info ect. We normally play on saturday, but one of our members can't make it so, we switched to Sunday just for this week. All game rules apply as posted by Accip in the Forum.

I could definitely do Thursday nights, but not guaranteed to be able to go every Saturday night (most, but not every) and would be willing to do a 2v2, 2v2, 2v2, etc...or a FFA, but nothing more heavy on the team sides than 2 players per team.  let me know if you still need someone and if I would work out or not.

Thats what we are looking at the moment playing 2vs2vs2vs2. I will PM you to let you know when we have something ready to go. We also do direct connect with IP address to avoid Ironclad Online connection issues.

So far we only have one online player and we need a few more who can be dedicated in meeting with us at times we play. we are playing Entrenchment with Bailknights mod for better visuals. I would definately like to play.  I've been playing the sinsplus+BK mod for some time now.  I've played at least 200 hours on single player but I haven't played much multi.  I know what i'm doing though. The reason i've avoided multi is the fact that I don't like carrier & lrf spam and like a more complete game.  I view sins as a fun game of chess and not a rush game.  I'd definately be down especially since I am completely in love with sinsplus+bk's mod. 

 

 You can play entrenchment with the sins+BK mod??

We started a MP game on Saturday (FFA) with the BK mod (updated to run with Entrencment).  This is my 1st game with this group of guys and must say that it was very fun and there definitely was no spamming going on that I could tell.  We played for around 4 hours and got a nice chunk of playing time in and everything ran smooth and fun.

We are picking the game back up tonight.  I will be sure to let the guys running this know that you posted on here and showed interest and hopefully in our next game we can get you involved.

I also have another guy that is interested in playing.  The game is being run from the west coast, so you need to adjust to that time zone.  I am central time...so 2 hours behind them, which works out great for me.  They usually start around 8 p.m. their time (which is 10 p my time) and games last around 2-3 hours on Tuesday nights (this is the new day that has been selected to play on) and then again on Saturdays.

Hope this gives you a little more info on our games.
