Rooks towers still a JOKE

The max number of towers you can get out is 4. The damage they cause is still negligible, let me elaborate:

I was a level 13 rook with maxed out towers ( level 4 on the skill tree ) I bought up to the +20% damage + splash upgrade and the +30% hp upgrade at the citadel. The towers were hitting 100's on the nightmare level 23 regulus I was playing against . I unfotunately was only hitting 200 because I put everything into this tower path.

The towers are a completely useless skill path right now. The skill points are much better used in hammer slam, rook roll or god strength. The rook is a one build guy right now. He needs some work to impliment his other skills. I hope this isn't his final call right now but I hope this evidence convince the devs to do something for the rook. The towers need to have no time limit and do more damage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The amount of HP the have is great if they can do more damage like a normal Tower of light.

I don't agree on the no time limit, but it definantly needs to be a long one. I'm on the fence on if they need to go when he dies...cause it kind of kills the clutchness of dropping a tower right before you die for team-mates to port into.

But I agree, very unspectacular. Do the citidel upgrades effect Rooks towers? They should! :D

Well, for one thing, you're meant to be able to have a lot of towers at once, but are limited to 3 due to a bug (I assume it's a bug).  So that would help.

But I've also noticed that the towers are a little lacking.

don't forget that the towers are a good combo with structural transfer. (or at least a combo)

Its still not that great of a combo because you don't really gain much HP considering you usually raise the tower before structural tansfer is complete. I really think there should be no time limit this would give you the 8 towers possible you need. If you use the tower power again the first tower would just drop to the ground.

I found them to be very useful as defensive weapons but terrible as offensive weapons.   This is especially true since they will chain to your pre-defined light towers and basically work as range extenders.   So they become really powerful early game.

So hang on, they didn't rape a Demigod 10 levels above you, and therefore they suck? No ability scales above about level 15, so this is not a surprise or shock in any way shape sense or form. I'm also quite sure that the Citadel upgrades don't affect his towers, AND regulus is supposed to be a tower-smacker given that he can outrange them easily.

I've done alot of tower builds and these are by far the fastest wins for me. I haven't really been able to play vs. humans but the AI doesnt stand a chance. For killing structures this works equally well as structural transfer. You create a tower, and start hitting the enemy structure, the tower will then support you, to kill it enermy tower very fast. And you get a new tower every 10 sec.

I'm with DeadMG, your towers are not going to do much to a Demigod that is 10 levels above you. I mean what items did Regulus have (we don't know cause can't see other Demigod's items, yet!) but I think we can say he probably had some pretty good items i.e. a lot of extra hp and armor.

I also think that DeadMG is right with Citadel upgrades, these do not increase Rook's towers damage, hp, hp regen or anything.

Also note that towers increase in power exponentianlly the more of them you have in one place. One tower fires once. Two towers each fire once, but each shot is buffed by another tower, etc.

So is the "8 maximum" on the tooltip a bug, or is the fac that you're limited to 4 a bug?

I'd say either make towers stronger or let The Rook have more of them.

The result of me trying a tower build was the fact that I got 10 levels behind lol. Like I said the towers only hit 100 which is pretty poor that late into a game.

EDIT: Another thing if you think I don't know what I am talking about try going a full rook tower build. Level up the towers first then go for hammer slam, rook roll. Let me know how you fair.

I just tried a tower build vs normal AI and was out leveling the computer quite a bit.  I had some items that reduced my cooldown and was able to get 5 towers up at once.

I wouldn't call the towers unspectacular.  I was doing pretty well with my first attempt at a tower build.  I finished the game in 14 minutes with this build.  No hammer slam or rook roll.  Just towers, struct xfer, and stats.  Got lots of armor items too.  Due to the suicidal AI they were dropping like flies.

I am going to give it another whirl and try harder AI this time.

20 Minutes vs all Nightmare AI.  Only died because I was on the phone.  I think the towers are probably good.

Bear in mind that the OP insulted Frogboy in an earlier post...his credibility in all manners should be suspect at best.  Oh, and towers rock hard.

I've found that setting up towers next to your opponents defenses is a nice way to start bashing down ToLs without your Rook having to be present. And they can keep low health DGs (casters like the TB) at bay.
