It doesn' t start at all.

I have the same issue. Hour glass comes up for about 2 seconds then goes away and nothing happens. I just installed it on my other computer and it works fine. Wish it worked on my gaming box though. Great game though anyway. Love it.

reinstall impulse, that was my issue and its working now.

I try everything. I reinstall impulse, game, even the nvidia drivers and directx.
Im really disappointed.

Did you get an error message?  I got one referencing DirectX, but it's really a monitor refresh issue.  Once I set my monitor to 60 Hz for 1024x768 (the resolution it starts in once an update is done), then it's fine.  Afterwards, I can hack the config file to make it take higher rates.  I mentioned this when I downloaded the first beta, but apparently it hasn't been fixed yet.

I hope they fix this for release, but I'm not too hopeful, since Suprememe Commander has the same issue.

Please post a dxdiag report. You can do so by:

Click Start->Run-> type in dxdiag and click OK.

Once it finishes, click the Save All button, give it a name, then open that file up in Notepad, copy+paste everything to pastebin.com or similar, and post the link here (please do not paste the report directly here as very long texts like that can make the page difficult to read).

Do you have Google Desktop running? If so try uninstalling it. Demigod doesn't currently play nice with it(We are looking into the fix...)

I have the same problem. It doesn't work on the only computer I have that is decent enough to play the game without freezing every half second.

your DXDiag lists both a Realtek and an XFi. disable one via the Device Manager.

Ok, I'm having the exact same problem.  After I installed Impulse then downloaded the beta, it would not run at all (exactly the same symptoms as others are describing:  start Impulse, double-click Demigod and *nothing* happens - a second or two of the cursor switching to the hour glass then nothing).

I uninstalled the application and removed (deleted) Demigod, then re-downloaded and installed it again.  Then it worked once or twice, and now it isn't working again.

This has happened over the course of the last week or so, and there have been *no* changes to my pc.  I have also tried removing/disabling my antivirus application and it makes no difference whatsoever.

Please help!

I have only one sound card and do not have Google Desktop. Same exact problem as everyone else. This needs to be fixed...  

Ok, I just tried again just for the heck of it and it works.  I didn't reboot my PC, I didn't restart Impulse, I didn't re-enable or disable anything and it *just works*.

Lots of bug fixing to do IMHO...

Yes. It still doesn't work. I have tried running it from the start menu, Impulse, desktop, and the folder. I uninstalled it and reinstalled twice. Doesn't work!

This is getting worse. Not even in that version DG starting.

Is the demigod process active after the "crash" ?

Need a bit more data here.  System specs would be a good start.
