[BUG/IDEA] AI stupidity

I'm unsure if this is a bug or an idea, but the AI are completely a waste of time. I played my first player Vs player game today it was 3 (players) Vs 2 (players and AI on Nightmare). The only thing the AI was good for was feeding us, I killed him so many times and managed to get very powerful items and upgrades at the Citadel. I have noticed they are like this before when I play Vs AI only, but it stood out today how bad they are when it comes to their judgement.

They will suicidally attack your base (for no reason) and are very easily lured into your base for a trap. Also just seem to follow you for the fun of it when you are also not very low on hp at all really (half hp). Over confidence is another issue, if an AI has lower hp than you and is a low level they will still take you on 1 Vs 1, and of course die.

These are issues which need to be fixed as the only game options I can see are players Vs players at this current moment in time.

Apart from this the game works perfectly player Vs player.

Thanks for all your hard work guys.

I noticed their Dg's usually kill mine but i upgrade my citadel and beat them. yes it would prob show more when playing with humans but thats how it always is.

I'm not talking about loosing to AI and comparing them to human players. In general they make very bad choices which they shouldn't be doing.

I agree with you YouR-LasT-NighT, the AI does seem to be a little suicide happy. I'll be talking with the AI engineers in the New Year about toning down their current threat assessment for chasing.

Thank you for your feedback.

Another thing I've noticed about the AI is that it doesn't pay nearly enough attention to flag captures.  When playing against AIs >= Hard, I usually end up behind in both hero levels *and* citadel upgrades -- but I can still win because the AI lets me capture and hold flags (esp. the neutral portal flags) without too much effort.  My units aren't as good as its are, but I get twice as many of them and eventually it wears down the enemy's defenses, while the AI is busy hunting down my Demigod and racking up double or triple my kill points.  While I like winning, I'm not sure I should be able to at my current skill level. :-)

I agree entirely with Lambdaman.  Active demigod use should be required to win the game, not just $15,000 well spent gold, and a few strategic flag captures.

I lose a lot against the AI   . One against one they kill, because they're faster, and my UI lacks so much thats not funny anymore, they're reasonably smart, but yes they don't hold flags which win me the game.

Also it seems hard>Nightmare? Nightmare likes to run into your base and die...

I'll second the fact that, at least one on one, the AI doesn't pay as much attention to the flags as it should do. On Prison I take the middle three flags and it goes and takes back the middle one and then rushes my base, ignoring the other two flags. When it's a team game I find that they make a slightly more concerted effort. I can also confirm that they often choose not to run when they're at low health/decide to follow you a little too far into your base. This last bit is the main difference between AI and humans that I've seen so far.
