Bug or feature?

So I played a game against the AI and I tried to attack the citadel, then this tooltip "Finger of God" popped up. I killed the citadel, but wasn't the Finger an game-ender, which shoots lightning?

So I played another game, and during the game lightning strikes shot randomly at the ground, sometimes hitting units. I belief it did dmg but not a lot. I first thought it was the ring that did it. But tthe tooltips says it attacks units that are near.

I had kicked some AI-butt, so continued to the Nighmare, but starting from the beginning a lightning strike hitted my Citadel taking +-10 procent dmg, and wearing my Citadel out during the game?  I also heard the "citadel is under attack" voice.

I've also seen that lightening strike thing, on one occasion, but I have no idea what its about. Hm.

I was told in one of the few multiplayer games I've been able to play that if you put a team of nightmare AIs in a game, the lightning starts from the start on your citadel. That might be a featuer and not a bug. I've also seen that other lightning bug with my units as well, but never been able to figure out what caused it.

It's the 500 point permanant item for assassins, does 200 points damage anywhere on map. AIs seem to pick whatever they fancy for items, and nightmare AIs usually get that one and spend the whole game shooting at each other's citidel.

Pretty pointless though since the damage is simply regened away before the cd is over.

Ah ok, problem with the AI then.
