I wasn't around for Beta 1, but I've played Beta 2 for a few days. Am I still allowed? 

I'm kinda depressed by how few people are playing the beta. I thought there would be a lot more.

I think for me the point was to have a time when all of us oldies could get together.  I cannot speak for everyone, but since I am organizing it, I feel safe saying, the more the merrier.

I can't imagine any of us being upset if thanks to you and other new beta 2 members we get a few 4v4 or 5v5 matches going.

´Nah, it's perfectly understandable since the netcode is so poor.

9am...argh...not that I was in Beta 1 or anything.

I'm going to second the sadness at the lack of matches going on. The most I've seen simultaneously open is 3, and that was rare. Usually there is only 1 match or none going on... Thank God for AI players...

I played some Beta 1 but gave up with this Beta 2. Kinda obnoxious that i pre ordered 3 months ago and game still isn't very playable

I might be interested, though I can't be there until 1:00 or so, so maybe after you play your first game I'll be ready .  I didn't play a ton in beta 1 but I was around and I did play a few games.

Trig: it's probably best to use GMT time, as i'm pretty sure there's two, if not more, EST zones. 

take Australia for example; GMT+10, but it's still called EST.

What do you by not very playable? Performance issues, stutters, ? I haven't had a single performance related issue with the game at all. I have it fully maxed with x8AA at 1440x900 and I very rarely drop below 60 FPS. I just wish the Beta 2 was multithreaded. As of now, it's only really using my first core while the other 3 sit there and do nothing.

I would love to join everyone, but my girlfriend has been out of town for a week and we were planning on hanging out Sunday. If anything changes for whatever reason I'll let you know, but for now I won't be able to attend.

And I just saw the EST, that's 9 PST right, so I should be ok playing so long as the matches end by like 1-2 PST (4-5 EST)

Cool idea, although i think saying just because 10 people show that a 5v5 will actually take place with the state of the Beta at the moment, is a tad optimistic.

In the weeks of having the beta i have successfully played 2 games with other players. I wish a disclaimer was placed stating that Australian players are going to have to invest 5 hours a day to connect to a single game. Yes i understand this is a Beta, but this is beginning to feel like a MMORPG having to grind for hours to get something out of it and i can't even get any "testing" done.

I may be around at the time of this gathering but being from the other side of the world i will just lag the game and will be asked to leave / desync mid game / or hold everyone up for hours trying to connect. So i will just wish you all good luck with this gathering from afar.

Sucks, Ev :/  Sorry to hear it, especially after the game I had all set up as a 3 v 3 you were in that I then had to bail on....

I have actually played 4 3v3 or better games at this point.  I think connection issues are a matter of luck  at this point and if 10-20 people show, with luck and a bit of patience, we will be able to get a few big games going.  Logistically, I plan to meet in IRC and then try setting up 3 or 4 games and see who people can join in a 1 by 1 fashion.  When one game is maxed (3v3 or whatever) those who could not join will try the next and so on.

With the new patch released next week, I hope we will be able to set up a tourney that week end.  We'll have to see how things shape up then though.

I'd love to come but christmas break is fcking me over im going all over the place and barely the chance to use a comp with Demigod installed on it (ive installed it on 2 relatives since i go to their houses alot) plus i havnt played anyone in so long and my self-proclaimed master skillz from beta 1 are prob average atm hopefully the [BETA] clan expanded lol dont let it die cause i aint there atm if the new patch comes and fixes the crappy netcode i will most likely be there tho

By that time i'm either about to go to bed or asleep, as I have to work at 10PM EST to 7AM EST, well, on the other hand my brother who seems to come over and play on my PC seems to play Demigod Beta everyday with my account (he really, really needs to get his own).  So you might see him instead.

If it's the 12 Noon -5 GMT I'll be there.  It will be good to get more than a 1v1 or 2v1 match going (all I've done till now as I've only done matches with people I've been in guilds with, to decrease the likelihood of a player bailing mid-match).

Hope to get in at least one 3v3 or even a 5v5 in before next patch.

i dont know if its necersarry or usefull for this, but as i already announced i opened a liitle demigod-board which is until now only a forum, but i will come up with aditional stuff and a complete website for it somewhen. if you want i could maybe set up a tourney-script we were using in my multigaming clan. everyone can register a team and then the script randomizes the matchups. its a Knock out tourney. its just an idea to easily set up such tourneys in future, i will contact the creator of that script later.
