[Bug] Unimaginable Lag

Whenever I play a game, the lag is completely unbearable. Everything is choppy and it goes so slow the game is unplayable. The game will lag for 5 seconds, and suddenly a demigod will die because of the lag. This happens in singleplayer. I turned all the graphic options down to the lowest setting but it still does not work. My computer is very good (can play most recently released games on at least medium). What's wrong?

The lag is bad. They said they wanted to have a patch out the first few weeks of January if I remember right.

I know its bad but the lag I have is completely crazy. I click a place and my demigod doesn't move but the circle around him does (choppy still). Is all the lag like this? Or is my computer just not good enough.

right. first thing to do, list your;

  • CPU model number (we can work out the speed, and hence if it's good enough),
  • amount of RAM,
  • graphics chip,
  • drivers for said chip (this might be hard if you're not very computer savvy),
  • prefered flavour of Windows (including if it's x86 or x64).
get us this info. and we can start getting you answers.

It's your graphics card, have the same problem.

Apologies. I see 'lag' and I assume network lag :(

I guess my graphics card isn't good enough. This is still surprising though, considering I have had almost no trouble playing other games I have. I have another computer that is almost definetely good enough, but I have a problem on that one where you open the game and nothing happens (cursor hourglass for a second, then it goes away).

you should read the bug list thread and look about for answers to you issues for your other computer.

you'll have to be patient; it's still beta after all, but the community appears to be pretty adept at squashing bugs before the developers do.

Still, may be helpful to specify exactly what it is.

I'm having similar problems, though I'm relating it to possible network latency issues (since connections are rough atm as is).

Vista Home Premium (SP1) 32-bit

Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT - 512MB Dedictated Memory

Since this laptop is a custom lenovo from ABS Pc, video drivers are a pain in the butt to get ahold of.  The major issue I'm having is that the settings don't matter up or down.  My reccomended defaults were relatively high, but even with settings set completely on low I might be lucky to pull 15 FPS.  The bigger trouble is studder lag, which lets my demigod move for about 3 seconds and lag for about 5.  Needless to say, before submitting bugs or getting more friends to help test with...I can't even play with success :(

Tomorrow's new beta build helping in-game latency?  I'm hoping its that and not the card <_<.
