[Suggestion] Attacking while moving

Queen of Thorns

When Queen of Thorns is in her 'Closed' state she can run around auto attacking everything in range regardless of her facing etc. In her 'Open' mode she behaves like all ranged demigods did in previous builds, she can attack while moving if she's chasing a target. otherwise she wont attack creeps etc. while running around.

In my opinion the 'Closed' state is beneficial to gameplay and should be applied to all demigods; melee and ranged.

It makes movement speed a useful attribute for things other than running away and brings new importance to abilities like maim, diseased claws etc.

Basically i think it would stop fights being so static and make all combat more fluid etc.

I'd like to hear your thoughts regarding this and, i hope, get some dev interest in this debate =]

So you want all demigods to be able to run away and fight at the same time? I don't see the point of that. I also don't think that demigod vs demigod fights are static in any sense - at least not against players.

i don;t think so, escaping takes skill and if u have more movement speed u should get away form your opponent and vice versa if u have more movement speed u get those couple extra attacks in.

and in her closed state its is suppose to beable to do that, sure she can attack reguardless of what she does but on the flip side U don;t get to choose what she attacks, its a blind fire. try to order her to attack something in specific when there a horde of enemies you'll find she just randomly attacks something until its dead. so you either closed up and get more armor, hp n mana regen, small slapsh, or open up and hit the targets u need/want to.

Ok... i found playing yesterday that with compost ranked up i could kite every player without taking a single auto-attack (unless rook boulder'd me or something along those lines) and keep attacking constantly, only regulus/another compost QoT could reliably hit me because of my speed+range.

I just found it a way to micro and avoid damage. There isnt much room for manoueverability within the lanes but with tower strength on high you can retreat back to your towers if they push and follow them when they retreat punishing them for pushing you.

On the other hand most of QoT's abilities are rubbish vs DGs but creep slaying monsters.... Demigod vs Demigod fights arn't static if its melee vs ranged, melee vs melee and ranged vs ranged are pretty static unless someone has a clear advantage in which case the other guy is usually running away + stunning etc.

My revised idea (i've slept on it =P ) is that regulus/torchy could fire while moving and the projectiles would curve like they already do to hit the target unless you are running away from them/their chasing. So in the same way they can fire while chasing now they could if you issues move orders but if you're moving away from them and they are chasing you it wouldnt fire.

p.s. Items are too expensive, if you never run away from your lane and creep it sucessfully over 10+ minutes you should be able to afford a single high tier item, most of the time you dont even come close...
