[Balance] Beta 2C Sedna and More

This is a list of various Balance issues for Demigods, mainly with a Focus on Sedna, Queen of Thorns, and Rook - and what exactly makes them Impossible to defeat when they are used properly.

Sedna

I gotta hand it to mcjoin, he always uses the most broken characters to their fullest extent and still has the audacity to say "GG" at the end of a match when it was far from it.. Before this Build, I had thought Sedna was somewhat balanced - that is until I've seen what she can do when used as a minion factory. With a focus on Pounce and minions and Wand of Speed, Sedna can send a massive army out to harrass and crush various towers while under the hyper speed boost of Wand of Speed as she captures flags and hunts Demigods with speed and strength.

Everytime a wave of minions dies, she returns to the base crystal and spawns a new wave. A massive, huge, powerful force of lead by brutal minions, healers, and siege archers. I played Regulus at the time, and I worked my very hard, did my utter best with tactical skill and smarts and still I could not stop the wave. I'd kill this massive huge force, and the most dissapointing part is that I never recieve one sliver of expierence points. The build is built around Wand of Speed. This is why it was so hard to counter, because the minions are so durable and fast. They rush right by you and keep throwing themselves at the towers.

In the end, you can not keep up with Sedna's minion farm. All she has to do is sit on the Crystal, hyper speed her minions, rense and repeat. Meanwhile, kill Demigods and Capture flags while they are distracted with the brutal waves which offer no reward and drain them dry of items and mana. Good tactic, very broken because of the stupid Wand.

Don't pick on mcmjoin.  He uses my strat with sedna.  A good strategy is not a brooken game.  I have a few more items I add that really make it even worse.

It's a good tactic, don't get me wrong. The Wand of Speed portion of it is was seriously makes it a big problem. Not to mention, killing the HUGE army doesn't earn anyone a single point of Experience Points. Which is burtal.. Because it's such a powerful surge, and no reward for fighting it. The waves come quickly with the Wand of Speed, far too often. You just punish your foe by forcing them behind their defenses and preventing them from gaining experience points and making them waste items.

It'd like to see it done without Wand of Speed and some Experience Points for killing General's Minions.

It's really interesting how many of these balance posts are colored by whom you play with and how you play.

I played a 2 v 2 game yesterday with an ally who went yetis and it meant my PK snipe build didn't work.  He couldn't push, either, because our opponents (GG Sevenix and IamKira) used a pounce/heal/tank Sedna and Snipe Reg to make sure he died before he could max minions.  In the end his 10k hp minions did nothing to recover the massive lead they had in warscore and gold from killing him 16 times...

A good endgame tank Sedna can get slammed, mined, and sniped down to 1/2 health (a combo that would kill most other dgs, btw) and insta-heal it all better.  If she's using the favor item she can do it twice.  That's more frustrating for me to play against than speed minions.

The main focus of the post is Wand of Speed. Maybe I should rename it, hm? I thought putting it in bold would help, but it seems that's not the case. :)

I'v always thought the wand of speed is imba. If player x buys it then player x's enemy is forced to buy it to keep up with the insane speed boost.
