[Item Tweak] Warpstone

I was playing around with the 2D Warpstone a bit this weekend and when you get good with it it becomes essential.  What you see in a 2 v 2 with good players is a fight scene from the movie Jumpers.  That's fun for a little while, but it might need tweaking.

Possible tweaks (pick one or more)

- lower radius so that jumping between lanes is not quite possible

- increase cast time slightly

- increase cooldown

- increase cost by 30-50%

- incurr large mana cost

Thoughts?

I would say increase cooldown.

Or make the area where you can teleport not a circle but like a field of view turning around the DG. You have to click at the right time.

I don't know if it's possible to implement but it could act like a "random casting time" if you want teleport to a spot (because you have to wait the area to match). And having to teleport not exactly where you want if you can't wait. ^^

Slight increase in cost £2150 and increase cooldown. No point in increasing cast time because you might as well walk to the spot if it's longer. Another idea is reduce the range but make it instant so you can see the enemy and have a chance to react.

All teleporting items need some sort of visual at the target zone imo, having people appear right on you sucks when it comes to gameplay.

The warpstone would be fine with just the visual added but the teleport to building items should also add a 5 sec debuff which reduces movementspeed by 25% and increases your damage taken by 25%. This allows the teleport to be used as usual when teleporting back to base but people may hessitate to teleport into a battlezone a bit more.

This debuff worked well in Dawnspire if any of you played it. there the effect was 50% speed and 100% more dmg but then Witches were able to set them up from their to position to any allied unit. This lead to witches placing the portals outside of combat areas.

maybe the warpstone should be instant or nearly instant cast but make not instantely appear at the target but have you moving there as a ghosty, motionblurred shadow or something like that - could also suck as it might be too graphically confusing^^

I'm gonna throw Cloak of Night in there too.  Instawarp and 300 dmg is pretty crazy.  At least Warpstone costs something and takes an item slot

Yep it s true Cloak of  Night is maybe too strong but the short range and the fact that it's a favor item make it imo quite okay (maybe 50 less damage), even if I think it's in the favor items top 3 or 5.

Most good General players I've seen will use this item as default, with other items for specialist builds only.  If they are using something else then they will get Warpstone, ASAP.  Is it different in your experience?

Teleport is very very powerful, but you can't remove it from the game. (but still need a nerf)

I always use warpstone, sometimes the running wand too, and with The Oak, always Cloak of Night.. and yes.. it's very powerful, all combined..

I mostly play alone (I can connect 10% of times I try) so I can't tell you.. but it's true that there is not so much interesting favor items to make the choice difficult.

I don't like the idea of debuff. How about a warp animation appears at the place you have selected to warp to.
