[BUG] - [BETA 3] - Alt Tab while hosting high chance to CRASH

While hosting a game if you alt tab you have a high chcance that when you tab back in you will crash the game at a high chance rate. I am not the only one to have noticed and it only seemed to happen.

 

Ok I further tested it, In the following manner:

 

Did an alt tab test for 10 alt tabs consecutively in and out in the following situations:

1. Game screen Main Menu

2. Custom Game Menu

3. Hosting Game Name and Port Selection

4. Hosted game NOBODY CONNECTING (visible through the Open Game page on a screen next to my computer)

5. Hosted Game WITH CONNECTING PLAYERS

 

Resilts of successful Alt Tabs with no Crash:

10 Successful alt tabs for situations 1. 2. 3. 4.

0 successful alt tabs for situation 5.

 

I believe that while people are connecting there is a crash chance, once CONNECTED it is reduced or abscent since yesterday I alt tabbed while people were connected and managed to alt tab back in 2 times.

Same thing here, it's random.  I get the grey screen crash when alt tabbing.  It doesn't matter if I'm the host or  joining.

 

Windows 7 beta, ati 3650.    In beta2d, Alt tab never crashed on me.    It's quite boring to sit in the game because there's not that many people so I alt tab often.

Yeah Im on Vista 32bit with Duo Core and nVidia 8800GTX ultra clocked and 2D never crashed with alt tabbing... but strangely for me it does it when someone is actually connecting or i am connecting to something. I checked this cause i had my second computer on next to me to see whether someone was connecting to me or not while i hosted.... quite frustrating isnt it

To avoid confusion you may want to rename the subject to Beta 3 instead of 3A; I think Frogboy said they are going to try have a 3A version out next week.
