Destroy Colony Needs a Confirmation Screen!

I accidently destroyed two colonies yesterday!
When you click the destroy colony button, it destroys it without asking if your sure.
And then it automatically takes you to the next colony in the list.
I accidently clicked twice on the button and destroyed two colonies!

Please add a 'Are you sure you wish to destroy %s colony?' dialog!

I think it would be good enough to have it pop up a dialog box with a yes or no that assumes yes if you press enter, so you could still do it fairly quickly (one hand on mouse, one hand over enter key) if you wanted to, but the situation that gave rise to this thread would be much less likely to occur.

i am usually against "are you really, really sure?" popups, but in this case:
1. it's a pretty big, irreversible deal (other than reloading)
2. it is easy to accidently double click due to ui issues
3. since it takes you to the next colony right away, if you accidently double click you wreck two colonies
4. there is no info other than the next colony popping up (and sometimes the planets look alike) to show you did destroy the colony

So would it be better to have an "Are You Sure" dialog when it takes a pretty obvious action to destroy the first colony, or a dialog that pops up afterwards that just says "Colony Gaia 4 has been destroyed"?

Most of the colonies I have desroyed I have done it by mistake, so I can relate.

My vote would be for a confirmation after the fact. That way the double destruct wouldn't happen. The way I see it, that button should be treated like it was a big red flashing button, as in don't touch this thing unless you are serious. In fact, why not make it a big red flashing button?

Yeah i've had that happen to me, too. Usually i reload from the autosave. A confirm dialog would be nice.

Please, if you introduce a confirmation screen include although an option to turn it off. I hate it when the computer asks: "Are you sure" Yes "You know there are living millions of people on this planet, you still want to destroy this lovely planet? Yes "last chance, you still want ot proceed?" Listen when I press a button to destroy colony I want that you carry out this order without asking questions. "O.K. master you want to destroy lets say , half the colony....?"

;) If there is a red flashing button everybody would press it out of curiosity and complain afterwards ...

since the one time i clicked destroy colony was on purpose but did not realize it worked so i clicked again :D i think the "100,000,000 human colony has been annihilated. Have a nice day..." confirmation screen would be good.

suggestion:

how about not putting us into the next planet on the list. Just go back to the galactic map. I don't necessarily think that I need a conformation screen, if I hit the button by mistake, it is my fault that the planet is gone, but it would be nice of the game programmers to try to not let me destroy a 2nd planet by mistake
