[SUGGESTION] a few suggestions

After several games, i have noticed some things that really have to be improved before launch:

-DEATH: i dont see why you cant do a thing while dead, you have to be at least able to see and modify your skilltree while dead. There is no point in punishing the player during this time. Dying is always frustrating but in demigod that sentiment is increased by the fact that you have to wait all that time. The screen effect that appears while you are dead is nice, but you should be able to have a better view of the battlefield, this way you could at least use this time to see what happens.
The actual death system would especially be boring for beginners that could use that time to watch the skilltree or the battle and you dont want to make the beginners flee from your game, do you?
Adding what has killed you in a team fortress 2 fashion (for exemple X has killed you with a fireball) would also be fun, but is far less important.

-MINIMAP: The minimap is nice but you should be able to clic on it to quickly change your point of view or to give orders.

-ORDERS: i dont see why you are unable to stack orders, it is very convenient; especially while ordering your minions to take a certain path.

-AZERTY KEYBOARDS: it is a detail, but the game should adapt its shortcuts to the type of keyboard you have. Many people dont know they just have to hit alt+shift to change to qwerty buttons. It is just a detail but it is also something that is infuriating for a beginner, and since the devs wants the game to be very newb-friendly, it should be adjusted (and won't demand a lot of time)
-> edit: all things considered, it will have to be done by the dudes that will translate the game, not by the devs

-VISIBILITY: It is often difficult to see others demigods in the middle of a crowded melee fight, especially when the rook is near. I understand that it is part of the advantages/disavantages of differents demigods, but it is a bit boring to first see that someone is dealing you damages and then search for where it comes from. Highlightings ennemies, especially when the are behind something (the rook, a mass of creeps,...) should be tested.

-USING A SPELL ON YOURSELF: You should be able to click on you portrait to use a skill on yourself, like heal or shield. Adding a shortcut to do that would even be better.

-BUYING CITADELS ENHANCEMENTS: if you dont have enough gold for a citadel enhancement, you should at least be able to spend the gold you have on it. After all, it is a team based game.

-UI: you really, really should have a better view of your war rank. Having numbers in the middle of your experience bar is not a good solution; a beginner (and probably many players who dont pay attention to it) can miss/don't understand it.
Moreover, you want your game to be instantly understandable for a newbie, then you have to give a better view of the war-rank.
You should see: You war rank; the speed of its evolution (and a little icon showing the numbers of flags you have to help the player understand that they are making you gain war rank faster) a jauge showing if you are near the next upgrade or not AND the same for the ennemy team war rank which is as important as yours.

I like all of your ideas.

I seriously don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to queue up commands, it would make it much easier tocommand your minions. To be able to set them out on a route to destroy specific buildings or units would be really useful I think.

It would also help kill the retarded AI when you get stunned, and you end up attacking minions instead of your target, or if anything at all. If you have it que'd, then you will continue to fight the right target.

the orders idea would prob be easiest to put since the game is built from the SupCom engine where Multiple orders are used in the game from start to finish

azerty keyboards!  booo

real men (or women) use Dvorak keyboards :P   (that would include me)

I have not had any problem with the short-cuts, but that being said, I have not really used them.   I didn't know people actually used Azerty outside of the european portable electronics.

just read about dvorak keyboards, interesting, i will maybe give it a try someday.

regarding to the azerty layout, i have made some researchs, it is only used in french speaking countries (but not in canada for exemple) so it is not such a problem. Anyway it is when the game will be translated (i imagine it will be translated in french, spanish, german...) that those issues will have to be solved.

@Strikersgun: yeah, i do not see why they don't have implemented it, since it was in already in the engine before they started making demigod. It may not be a very important feature for an assassin; but if you command a general, you have to be able to stack orders if you want to divise your army.
