It doesn't make sense to me, demigod or not, that something can layer boot upon boot, chest piece upon chest piece. Instead, I suggest the apparel doesn't get layered but you purchase imbunes, casts, spells, whatever alters the property of the apperal without suggesting the character has two pairs of gloves on.
It may seem inconsequential, and there are other areas to focus on testing, but I feel this is an important aspect to help immerse the player in the game.
