Attack Move is Aweful!

They really need to fix this.  Alt+click is just horrid.  Sometimes they attack move, other times they go right through the enemies.  Its lovely to see your heroe stand right next to the enemy and not attack.

This is such a basic feature in any RTS and its still buggy?? 8C

And what is this selectable AI-Chase mode.  It should default to ON and not be switchable to OFF.  If i'm attacking a unit, my heroe should keep following and attack.

Why do some people feel the need to shout and exagerate issues they have with something?  How about taking a deep breath and calmly reporting your problem?  Thanks.

I'm sorry, when I spend a large portion of the game trying to move my heroe to attack and it doesn't, I don't think its exaggeration.

How about adding to the topic and not posting your pointless post. Thanks.

This IS a beta and posting threads about user experience shouldn't be scorned.  <_<

Nice catch. That would really help if I used it, but I always forget. :(

For what it's worth, I'm finding it to be a little flakey myself. I've been trying to force myself to get better with QoT, but the Shambler's response (or lack thereof) to the attack-move is quite frustrating at times. Sometimes, as best as I can tell, right before they're in range of the enemy, they stop, and the distance is just slighty (1, 2 pixels, maybe?) too far for them to actually attack. So they wind up sitting there until the enemy closes the distance. Or, if the target was Reg, he just sits there out of range and shoots them with impunity, until I notice it and force them to move closer and make them deliberately attack him.

I've been trying to get a better bead on this issue, and make the occurance repeatable, but no luck so far. Still, it would be nice to smooth it out, because it really is a crucial option for the Generals to have.

when you have only 1 unit to micromanage attack move isn't such a big deal

I almost always micro my demi to make sure he's always doing what I want.

As far as minions auto-attacking stuff, do you really want minions attacking the regulus when he's sitting under some towers?

I agree with Jeffwads. Report the problem without the drama please. Exactly because this is a beta you shouldn't be acting like this

Aggressive move has been buggy since Beta 1.   It's been reported before but worth mentioning again.

It's buggy enough that I stop using it.  I do wish they fix it someday.

I had a similar issue with just trying to direct my minions to attack last night.  I was playing Erebus and had 6+nightwalkers.

A torchbearer walked up to them, I selected all my minions and right clicked on him.  Only 1 nightwalker went to attack him.  The torchbearer walked up close, rained, nova'd, and shattered me and my (oblivious) troops.

Right now, Generals are having a bit of an issue with being competitive.  It's hard to balance the generals if only half their abilities work as expected.

Indeed.  I've tried playing as Erebus, but it's just too frustrating.  I always end up going back to Rook or TB next game.
