Also noticed that pictures of a defeated race came up to join in a war agianst me when a race that was still alive declared war on me. (probably just the wrong image) Might be related to the sort order of the races changing on the relations screen as the game progressed (I did not notice that on 103, is that new?)

Were they recently defeated? Like the turn before? And were they major or minor races?

I had this happen too..but it was a major race and they were defeated the turn before.

But i did get info on the Drengins and Yor paying tribute to one another and declaring war early on..before i even made contact with them.

Also the Yor surrendered to me in a game and gave me
4 of their planets while fighting a hopeless battle against the Drengins. Thing is, though, i hadn't made
contact with them or the Drengins when they surrendered
to me..:D

Also the game is dang harder...more wars going on and
i have to pay 50-100 bc for 50 turns to bribe another
major power to go to war with another (on Normal level). It cost me 25-50 bc for 50 turns on 1.03.

Lastly, Is it normal that some major and/or minor powers do not list some races when you want it to go
to war with them. For example...the I League never
had the Torians listed in my last game as a power to
go to war with. Yet they surely were in contact and knew about one another. I've seen this before since 1.0
with minor and majors. One power just won't be on someone's war or peace menu and it's not someone they
are currently at war with or allied with either. weird.

Sometimes it takes a turn for the AI to catch on that it's dead. :)

Races who are above a certain level of relations will not show up in the Attack Treaty list.

It was the green guys picture, they had been gone for more than a turn. sorry I can't be more specific.

Also a similar note: If the I-League is destroyed, planets can still defect to it, and the game still treats the I-League as dead except for war and culture consideration. Diplomacy with a resurrected I-League can only be conducted via a known I-League planet's 'speak to' button, not by the Foreign Policy screen.

Fixed the bug where the I league was "resurrected" (or at least turned undead).

Still have to check into the the dead race declaring war.

They don't actualy declare war they join with another race that has just declared war on you.

I can confirm that bug, happend to me yesterday:
The Altarians and the Torians were allied, the Altarians got exterminated (with movie playing and everything) and some 20 turns later, when I attacked the Torians, the message from the Altarians came - 'You attacked our ally, so we attack you.'

:p Got a real scared at first because I thought it was some event that brought a dead race back into the game, but then nothing else happend. LOL

Well, yes. But they're still declaring war. :)

I keep noticing that when I reload my games things have changed. My research time has doubled, along with effects of influence etc (half as much in other words). This disappears after a few turns goes back to normal but I thought I would just mention it anyways. :)

I think the influence thing is normal, your influence is not part of the save game but calculated durring runtime...not sure about the research.
