Problems with the pre-order

I saw someone state in a post somewhere that if the email you used to pre-order a game is different from the one you used to create your impulse account, Then there may be problems come launch day. The post said that you should email stardock support and ask them to merge your emails. I did this, and there seems to be a bit of confusion. I sent this to them

"Hello, I recently pre-ordered Demigod using a credit card whose email Address differs from my impulse account Address. Some people on the forums were saying there have been problems if you pre-order something using an email thats different from your accounts email, So I was wondering if you could merge the email address' ([email protected] and [email protected]) So I could avoid any trouble downloading the game on launch day. The Order Number is ******************. Thanks,

The reply I got was this

"Geoff,

I could not find any account under '[email protected]', it will not be available until launch day.

I did find an account under '[email protected]' though.

We've merged these two into one account under the '[email protected]' e-mail.

Now when launch day comes, reply to this Ticket and then we can merge the YYYYYYYYYYYYY account into your XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX account.

Now that doesnt make any sense to me, as the reciept I have says [email protected] under billing address. But I'm thinking that perhaps I misunderstood the original poster, and that the billing address' email is different from the one he was talking about, and I'll be fine because I pre-ordered it on my impulse account, Just using someone elses credit card. Anybody wanna help me? Sorry if this doesnt make any sense.

Since your order is still being held as a preorder, it has not entered our account system yet.  It will get there when we process your preorder on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, the Lemonbay email address does not exist in our system yet, but when it does, we can merge it into the other account.

Hope that helps to explain; it is always beneficial to preorder under the same email address as your Impulse account.

Oh I see. Does that mean that The problem is taken care of? Or do I have to reply to that email for that to work on launch day? Thanks

What does it mean to have the same email address does it mean that the Stardock account for this forum has to be the same as the one you buy with via online purchase ? Just wanted to make sure for i most likely will be preodering.

More or less, yes. The store is separate for security purposes, but if an Impulse/forums account exists with the same address when the charge goes through, the game is automatically registered to that account. If you have not yet created one, or if you use a different address, you may need to register it manually or have support merge it.

Ok.....Sorry If I'm being a bit thick here, so what your saying is if I create an account using the billed email address for the account, then I should be clear to download it with the new account? Thanks.
