I was just wondering if I need to uninstall the beta version or it will automaticly update to 1.0?
w8 so once retail will come out i will first have to uninstall, only then will it update?! why doesnt it just update?
Frequently final versions can vary in important ways from betas, so as a general policy, we force a clean install just to rule out potential update issues.
Because beta is completely different build then retail version so everything has to change its not just a small update

Basically, because things can go wrong, they force a reinstall. It really shouldn't be needed most of the time, but as a safety precaution it's required anyway. In much the same way 'but those drivers work!' is still responded to with a 'try updating them anyway!' response.
Guess I ought to uninstall DG now so I can get it started DLing Monday morning.
