I think a physical release will be done later, usually through regional vendors like Atari is doing for Europe. It's still technically a worldwide release, just have to buy it directly from Stardock. Same price, get to download the game tomorrow, get the box shipped later.

online=tomorrow and worldwide

in stores = whenever and eventually worldwide

caveat: if you buy it online it will ship to you tomorrow.

Barmintar:
Demigod is avalaible in-stores (only in America) on Tuesday (tomorrow)
ALL Pre-orders will be avalaible via digital download today in about 5hoursish.
If you dont live in America, the release date is something like 31st of May in stores so its better off to order directly from Impulse for digital download.

At least it's better than the four months Europeans had to wait to get Sins of a Solar Empire. :| I know that ordering it online directly from Stardock is the best option for everyone involved but there are enough people (even more so in Europe I'd say) who can't or don't want to pay with a credit card online, let alone that they trust local postal services to deliver such a package 100% of the time.

My local game shop in Belgium got an 8th of May street date, I hope Demigod can build up a big enough community of players who bought it online or purchased it at retail in North America before we, European retail buyers, get our hands on it.

I also hope Atari won't be stupid enough to place DRM on the European version of Demigod...
