Nothing Worked,

I tried going to your link, and i wasn't prompted to download any file. It was just jargon on a page.

Right click shirley's link and save it, don't try to open it directly in your browser. Once saved, then run it and agree to merge it.

Ok this is what work for me and my brother.

I just uninstalled the game and then redownloaded it.

Work just like magic.

Thank for all the effort to help me and other out.

I've tried everything in Shirley's post and still  cannot update the game. I've even don e a fresh install with no luck. I am running version 1.0.0.0091

TO clarify:

• I've checked for updates from inside Impulse, and from the docked Impulse icon - nothing
• I 'Reset Data' and nothing
  
• I 'Verified Installation' and nothing
• I Uninstalled, and Re-Installed, twice, and nothing
• I even tried the Registry 'fix' which made me have to re-install Impulse with no luck.

Can you please check what this registry key value is set to?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\Demigod\Version=???

It should be 1.00.047.

You could try setting this back to 1.00.045 to force Impulse to update.

have you try to play it after reinstalled?

I got it to work right after the reinstalled with out having to do any update through impulse at all.

Are you a BETA user?  If so, you must uninstall and reinstall to obtain the latest version.

Manually editting the registry key to force the version to 1.00.045 seems to have worked for me where nothing else had.

Never mind, that didn't actually fix the problem. The game still reports itself as 1.091 instead of 97 and Impulse won't recognize a new update being available.

No, I'm not a beta user, and like I state already - I've already uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.

I currently have the version 1.00.47.

As i understand there is a newer version (What does this contain, any patch info anywhere ? ), however I cant get it to update to any other version. I've tried everything suggested in this thread, but still no new version to download.

Why is there not a file one can download somehwere instead or in addition ?

That may be the misunderstanding, there is no newer version yet.

1.00.047 is it.

That version is invalid.  You may need to uninstall and reinstall.  Not sure how you obtained that version.

This sucks guys they only way to update is to install the game again and this cannot be a solution for me should i download by every update the game new about 12 h fix that shit is not our computers many of us have this probel i click on update but nothing happend when i click in wc3 on update all works. Strangely dont it?

I dont pay many money for a game and then nothing works guys you need a better server and a better netcode to many problems for a released game i think.

Btw. The other Problem is we dont have such a knowledge about computers as you do and this it to weird for me i am not dump or so i tryed all of your "solutions" but nothing works except reinstall the game 12 h download at my place btw not so funny i think.

This did in fact work for me. Odd that inside Demigod the game I see .0091 as the version, but the registry shows .047 (48 today). Thank you for the assist!!!

I'm trying to reinstall the game...i've tried to download the shirley link but it's a txt? I've tried to reset data of impulse then relogging again but nothing...i don't understand a thing, i click on demigod on impulse then i see that demigod is 2.92 gb but impulse download me 1.89 gb -.-

For the txt thingie dont left click it, right click on the link and "save link as" or something

its just 1.89gb because the game comes archived, once impulse downloads the archive it will unpack and install

I have the same problem.....and i have tried every fix. Now i can start a internet game without being prompted to update...but i still have gameversion 1.00.00.93 that cant be right ???

Best to go by the version number available in Impulse, as this will indicate basically the patch level, not the build of the game itself.  As of now, the latest Impulse version is 1.00.048

How do i se the version number in impulse?  Under the my games tab in impulse it says DEMIGOD v1.00

Mouse over the version number and you should see a tooltip with the full version number.
