demigod can play with res smaller than 1024x768?

my lcd standard res is 1024x768 but i have an error with this res so i use 800x600. but when i play demigod, i can't set it with 800x600, i tried all ways i know, change game.prefs or use command /windowed 800x600, still can't play, windows is 800x600 but the game is still 1024x768 so i can't saw all the game space. help me if u can

Sorry, the game requires a minimum resolution of 1024x768. What error are you getting starting the game at defaults?
