So is Stardock doing anything to make the online work even remotely decent?

Every single custom game I try to join I get "Attempt to join game failed". The matchmaking is horrid as we all know. So I'm just wondering if there is an ETA on the Multiplayer actually working.

There aren't "bugs" in connection code as much as it needs to be identify players whose routers are too difficult to traverse.  We are working on updates in the coming days that will give players more control over the connection in games.

As for the pantheon games, when there are very few people online, it will take longer for it to find opponents. This is already changing even as the game is made available.

That's because without a router you're not even connected to the internets ZOMG!!!!1!1!one

I would guess your NIC is having trouble opening all the similtaneous ports, just as a guess.

I doubt router issues are allowing games to accept more player connections than they are capable of sustaining (6/6 players...oh here comes player 7, and player 8. I've had 7 issues of this happening, all ending in exception errors).

Thats just poor coding.

Also, please don't quote "not enough players" ... There are plenty of people if you

pull up the chat screen (shift-tab). And, according to this forum, they are all having

the same issue.
