Random Demigod

Like the Topic says allready this game needs a Random Demigod Button.
This way u can for example do a Random game, without people always picking the same Demigods.
This is a must have for any RTS ;p

agreed, also a mode so everyone gets a random demigod would be awesome aswell

That means I have to learn to play more then 1?

Anyway, anytype of randomness is a good thing.  I would be happy if the flags could be randomized as well.  Maybe shops appear all over the place and sell random things :P  We fcould go on and on.  Randomization reduces the repitition of any game.  Making things a bit more 'fresh'

Random things are good. I think the first random thing we need is the random DG selection. I want to learn how to use all the DGs vs all the DGs and it would be nice to do double random scenarios to get some experience.

I too wish there was a random demigod selection because its always nice for a change of pace to play something you normally do not.  I always -random in dota because its good to learn every char so you know their pros and cons.

Totally agree, I hope its added to the game. Some people like it for the challenge and also for the advantage of playing an anonymous demigod.

totally agree.

also a random map option would be a nice (mandatory?) feature.

I'm not much of a Random fan. It's certainly a Western tred to think that Random is good. But actually, I'm quite in favor of the Eastern tradition where it's absolutely okay to be just good at ONE thing. I enjoy this game because it's not random, and frankly Random always ticks me off. We had this discussion during beta, and I still feel this game is stronger without the Random option.

Random things are silly.

randoming in dota... and other rts as well is a fun factor ... not always a good thing to have it but yes its a MUST factor

i agree. this would be a nice addition, and relatively simple as well.

How many RTS's do not have a random faction pick? I cant think of any game actually.  Variety is the spice of life.

who could argue that have a random OPTION would be a bad idea?

it is an option and would not have to be used.

I understand where you are comeing from but would a random opponent help you tune your own skills at adapting to unpredicted situtations?

Entering the Pantheon is Random enough, and that is already the best unpredictable situation. There is no need for Random. All you do is press "Fight" and you don't know what you'll get tagged up with or who you'll fight against. It's a blind jump. Last thing I want is more of Randomization in Custom Games. If you want Random, play Pantheon.

For those of you who insist on random, close your eyes and click your mouse all over the screen erratically.  Now open your eyes and accept whatevers selected.  And then if you don't like the random you can do this 11 more times until fate decides you can play Lord Erebus.

The only thing I want for this game is good connections and what not.  Every game I join falls apart.  Sometimes I think its because I'm good, but in the long run, I got the feeling I'm rocking because their connection isn't.  And THEN, the computer chases me to the towers in which I eat their face and get big enough to completely destroy all hopes for the one player left on the other team.

I have no clue what the problem for connections is, probably location.  But even US games where I start out with badass pings of 94, sometimes it turns yellow and then I timeout.  Shit's not cool.  It takes me AT LEAST twenty minutes just to get a game started.  I've probably poured 14 hours into Demigod and gotten the nine games I've played online.  2v2 usually.  And then the other team leaves and wah lah, I'm skirmishing once again against the AI.  Which I have mastered.
