I'm sure this has probably been mentioned before, but I figure I'll add my voice to the crowd.
I know it's release day and we're still in the "30 day beta" portion of retail, but I'd just like to say that the MP needs fixing immediately.
Currently, any time there's anyone with a bad connection in a Pantheon game they get replaced with an extremely stupid AI that the other players eat for breakfast (literally). Also, this is a griefer and quitter's paradise, as they can leave out of any RANKED TOURNAMENT PANTHEON GAME and get replaced with a brain-dead AI. This alone is ruining games for me.
I'm a rather skilled beta player and I'm not all that interested in custom games, I like the favor system and the idea of the tournaments. But right now it's just not very well implemented. The matchmaking system is messed up and as mentioned anyone with a mean streak can ruin any "tournament" game. Currently with the matchmaking system I'm having issues connecting and occasionally have to disconnect from the matchmaking system and restart it to join a game, making it very stop-and-start. Also, as far as I can tell there is absolutely no skill matching system, meaning that I often get paired with noobs against two extremely skilled people. This I don't mind so much, but it's still another issue.
Really I'd be semi-happy if you'd just upgrade the AI difficulty that replaces leaving heroes. That's a bare minimum. A plus would be a more reliable and less buggy matchmaking system that matchmakes based on win/loss ratios.
Anyway, /rant. Just my initial impressions of the game (seeing as how it's 85% multiplayer and 15% singleplayer.)
Flame me if you wish. These are the pressing issues that I've found so far after a day of testing. I'm sure there are balance issues as well, but the connectivity needs to come first so we can actually play good games.
