How do you change your in game handle?

When I signed up for a registration name and pasword, I used my real name. I didn't realize it would be used as my in game handle as well. Can I change it?

MY Documens - My Games - games.prefs - open it in notepad, Search (control+F) for your username, replace it with whatever you'd like.

 

you could also create a new profile, but that would lose you all your Favor items etc

 

(only tried and tested via lan, not sure if this works for online - worth a shot tho)

The database guys are aware that nick changes aren't transferring and are working on it. Once that's sorted it should transfer over your "Crimson" name.

Checked with the db guys, nick changes should carry over within 24 hours.

Dear kryo,

I do not believe this issue has been resolved.  According to this thread: https://forums.stardock.com/346218 many Demigod users are still having this issue.  I logged on yesterday and my in-game name has not been changed even though I have updated it on my Impulse account. 

I just want to make sure that developers are aware that this issue is preventing a significant number of players from playing multiplayer games because they do not want identity information distributed online.

Dear kryo,

This issue still has not been resolved.

 

(I'm still identified by the old Impulse Account nick of 5 weeks ago, even though I log-in with the more recent nick. I successfully log-in as Sorceresss ... and then the game states that I am logged-in as CyberMage!)
