For now there's no incentive to fight 3v2 battle. Had a force fight 3v2 and it was a close match but the favour points are no different from 2v2, 3v3 match.
well, you can always do it for the glory 
2 vs 4 experienced and two win is something to be happy about
I played a domination game 2vs3, it was kinda fun even though I lost. If it had been a conquest game I might actually have won, did gain a lot of gold from picking off the weaker players in the other team 
Overall I think it's a good way to keep the pantheon games more interesting.
