Will my system run DEMIGOD?

I know, I know, and I'm sorry. You get a ton of these kinds of posts, and I've looked at the system requirements on the website and even on the box, and golly, gosh-o-roony I'm still confused.

Here's my specs:

Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 (6001.vistasp1_gdr.090302-1506)

           Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: INTEL_
       System Model: DG33TL__
               BIOS: Default System BIOS
          Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6320 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
             Memory: 3322MB RAM
Page File: 1153MB used, 5721MB available
        Windows Dir: C:\Windows
    DirectX Version: DirectX 10
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
     DxDiag Version: 6.00.6001.18000 32bit Unicode
I've also got an Nvidia 8800gts card. My concern is the processor. Does it meet even minimal specs. Please help me out.

Yes, your computer is fine.  Any dual core is fine.   I'm running it on a 1.8ghz dual cpu as well.

A Core2duo should be fine.

I anticipate no problems concerning your hardware. Your CPU isn't that much slower than mine (Athlon X2 7750) and your video card is very similar to mine also (9600GT). I can run the game nearly at max settings (though I turn AA off and shadows to medium so I'm sure I'm not causing problems with other people online). I'd say your probably good to go :)

So there isn't just another one of these threads, I'm curious about mine...   I have an Athlon XP 2500+ which is basically the same power as a 2.4 P4, but is clocked at 1.8ghz.   Will I be able to do it?

Rocky_Tooth, no because this game doesn't run well on slow single cores.  For single core, Demigod needs 3.0ghz or higher, that's my recommendation.

Actually i run it on an AMD athlon xp 2400+ along with a Geforce 7950 GT. I DO have problems when running with sounds but without sound it runs flawlessly on highest settings. So i guess it depends on if the sound problem is related to the cpu or if its a compability issue due to bad code or something.

Hmm... That is definately interesting.  I do have a 3.0ghz dual core at my other house, so I'm still able to play the game but it would be nice to do it at this one as well.  I'll give perrab's say a shot.

Thanks every one!

I bought the game at Fred Meyers for 39.99. It runs! It plays! I'm happy.
