Hey I am looking to buy this tomorrow, but I just wanted to know if the patch fixed connectivity issues yet? If so, are they fun? Also have the developers said anything else about the content they plan to add and how frequent besides those two heroes? I was just wondering if there were any future detailed plans for this game?

Connectivity is *MUCH* better. Expectbalancing and bug fixes over teh next year. More content will most likely depend on popularity.
Nothing of any note got fixed. It has a prettier "please wait for us to not connect you to a game and crash this game if it does ever finish" box. I've still not been able to join aany games.
I suggest waiting 1 more week. but if you can't resist, get it tomorrow to practice with single player. multiplayer is great for me but your milage may vary.
Multiplayer has always been great for me. This game is amazing. If you have no idea what a router/port is, then wait more. If you do, jump on with us. There are a lot of people playing the game, all you see on forums are the QQ, don't bother with them.
This worries me. How popular does it have to be? Are there any maps coming soon or anything concrete?
I had such a bad experience with Empire: Total War so i'm really afraid of being burned twice.

Two days ago i could hardly play an Online match (was trying to connecto for over two hours). Yesterday with the hotfix i could easily play 5-6 matches. So yeah, the MP is better right now than it was before 
Connectivity got so much better tonight, I got connected to 8 games in the path today with an average wait of 2 minutes. However half of these games didn't count in my account ranking and 7 of them had at least one AI replace a player, many were all AI =/. They're updating the game quiet regularly, and I hope they'll continue to do so after the first couple of months. I think there were 2 updates today?
So yeah many bugs and connectivity issues still. The gameplay however is relatively smooth, I don't know why they failed to make everything else like that. So if you get it now, expect a lot of play with AI. That's the biggest turn off for me in this supposedly multiplayer game...
Connecting has got alot easier for me, there are still a few issues, but compared to what it was two days ago it's much better. They're making quite a bit of progress, and we already saw a minor balancing patch.
