XP while dead

I've had this happen multiple times and its very anoying. I kill oak. Oak comes back to life in that crystalized form or whatever it is(i dont know oaks tree yet, sorry i cant be more specific) and kills me. After the duration wears off, the measage is shown that I just killed oak, but since I'm dead, I dont get any xp for it. Thats a bit rediculous.

For a second I thought you wanted demigods to gain xp while dead, which would be completely rediculous.  But yeah, that Oak bug (it must be a bug, for surely no professional developer could come up with such a flawed design) is pretty irritating.  Solution: get your xp the moment Last Stand triggers.

Easy, it should be in the next patch.

I think it's a great skill that oak has.

The point is that as soon as you kill him you need to run away. If you still keep dying to him you could try increasing your movement speed with boots or favor items or even try getting a warpstone. Getting a killing blow from a distance also may work better as it gives you a head start.

I have not really had a problem with dealing with oak before but I have not yet played an aggressive human oak player. I look forward to when i do though :grin:

I actually agree with psymed, oak is not dead until he is dead dead, so you should not get xp for killing him until he's actually gone... Last Stand seems like its designed to allow oak to get a kill on you before he dies... if you let him do this, then I don't think you should be rewarded for this

I'm not saying hes dead before last stand triggers, but you should still get credit for your kills, same thing when someone drinks the potion that drops from lord erebus and it kills them.

There are a lot of things I want to do when I'm dead besides looking at that grayed and blurred out screen;

I want to look at health bars, I want to re-examine my skill tree and plan my next skill point purchases, I want to check tower/fortress hp, etc...

Okay. Last stand. Oak runs really fast, and hits really hard. Tends to kill a lot of people. When he falls regardless because he's already dead, the player gets credit for a kill, but no XP. Thats an imbalance issue, and should be addressed.
