Demigod - Pirated copies users

Seems like there are more pirates than customers right now, is there any way to lock out the pirates from the servers at all? It seems that it is mainly the pirates that is causing the high server loads, why spend resources helping the pirated copies?

you need to sign in with your stardock Username and Password that has the registration info of DEMIGOD to play online.

I own sins, downloaded Demi from mininova, couldn't go online, bought the game. I was going to buy the game anyway, so I didn't really see if i could trick the system, but if I tried to make an account it wanted me to create a username and password.

theyre being pretty casual about it right now ... im guessing they will "sell"/give away new characters / maps to play that you need to have impulse installed for later on ... so then your going to need the serial numbers to play with these characters/on these maps
