Very long loading times

When I play singplayer the first loading screen(with the hint and the symbol which is lit from left to right or something liek that) takes forever to load, like 1-2minutes and then the new loading screen (with the map as a picture), takes like 20 seconds and then it is game. Is it suppose to take this long?

Games runes great on high with 2x aa.

Specs:

XP, 2GB RAM, Intel Core Duo E6850 (3.00Ghz)

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 640

Driver version 6.14.0011.8120 (English)
