The backgrounds in the game REALLY kill my fps, and I don't see any real point to have them when I can't even play the game then. I love the game, but it seems so pointless that the only reason it won't run at max is because the backgrounds are all so needlessly detailed...
How do you know if it's the backgrounds causing the problem if you can't turn them off?
Maybe he's like Neo and he can see the code and has a deeper understanding than us regular folk. Brb gotta put away all the expensive cutlery.
because when I play exile it doesn't lag at all, and that has a very undynamic background with little to no detail, besides the rock floating beside the statue. As opposed to crucible, which has tons of lava moving around and completely killing FPS. It also has way more layers than Exile. It's not map size obviously since crusible is only 2v2.

see I'm not the only one with this problem, not everyone can afford a nice video card or whatever, it's just be nice to have this option for those who want to play it and don't care about the most pointless portion of the game...
if you bring up the console, there *may* be a ren_<something> to disable the backgrounds in-game (or maybe a part of it).
then again, it may not; it worked in SupCom, so it's worth a shot.
Awesome, nice idea . How do you get the console menu open in demigod, do you know?
i do believe it's SHIFT+TILDE (i could be wrong, away from gaming computer ATM).
Hmm, that doesn't seem to be it, I tried a lot of other keys but none seem to work. May not be accessable
