Denial: "No, this $40 game that is built from the ground up for multiplayer can't possibly be so bugged that multiplayer doesn't WORK. That would be TOO retarded, the problem must be on my end."
Anger: "Oh, my God! They really did release a multiplayer game without functioning multiplayer! And I bought it! They took me for a fool and I played right into their hands. Now I'm really mad!"
Bargaining: "Ok, there are apparently loads of people having the same issues as me, but I'll give it a chance. Maybe if I do some research and follow all the suggestions I will figure a way out of this and be able to get multiplayer working. Maybe if I post very politely and join the chorus the developer will quickly release a patch and fix it."
Depression: "None of the suggestions work. I've wasted two hours of my life fiddling with settings and the game just isn't going to work. There's no new update to make all this go away. I'm sad and tired of trying."
Acceptance: "It doesn't matter whether I deny it, get angry about it, try to fix it or get depressed about it, it's just the way it is. Perhaps it will get fixed, perhaps it won't. Life will go on -- it's not as if I've just been told I have 2 days to live..."
