View this forum if you think the Online wait still too long!

I thought these patches where meant to fix the insane waiting times for the game. EPIC FAIL. I've been trying to get into any game since 9am it's nearly 11.

It is quicker to post a hamachi address and join a lan game over hamachi. lol.  People I know who have nonlegit versions are playing together several games a day, and I couldn't even play with them because i updated. Sad thing is I updated so I could play with other people which failed and now I couldn't even play with the pirates since we have different game versions. Sigh. I've offered to buy some i know legit versions and they don't see why they should.

I tell them PIRACY WILL SEND U TO HELL.  But they don't believe me and say they'll buy when it's worth buying. So i'm left to the online community which (checking to see if i'm in a game...) Still failing.

I keep getting disconnected from the NAT Facilitor. Whats that mean?

Stardock needs to put a lock on LAN gaming. It current state the pirates are having too much fun with no limits. Noone is lan'ing anyways, and its too far yet for tournaments. So just disable lab option.

The disconnected from nat facilitator message means your either getting kicked or you have a problem on your end.  I had this before updating my router firmware.  Given you can't get into a game in 2 hours, I'm gonna say you probably need to fix some settings in order to get into games.  Try connecting the internet cable directly to your pc and see if that makes an improvement.  My bet is that it will, and that will prove that you still have some things to figure out on your own end.  I"m not saying its your fault - I mean 15 years ago sure, but these days games should be easy enough to get working that a 10 year old kid can do it.

Pirate.

Statistically speaking, you're probably right.  Statistics also say you're likely a pirate.  That's how bad it is.

All that being said, it's true it shouldn't be this complicated to get a game up. I was very happy with the price of the game ($40 is right around where a video game ought to cost) but if stardock isn't gonna help us, it's fine.  My friends and I will just go to hamachi and we'll remember this next time Stardock puts a game out.

I haven't had much problem connecting.  The longest I've had to wait is maybe 2-3 minutes to join a 5/6 game.

The biggest problem I've had is constant extreme lag with some games... not sure the cause.  I'm not entirely convinced it's the game's fault but rather specs, drivers... etc.  The game more or less works.. but until we identify all the possible problems with people's own networks and whatnot it's going to be rocky.

Unfortunetly the game is new so people automatically assume that the game is at fault rather than taking a look at their own stuff which may actually be the issue.  I'm sure they will iron everything out and all this will be a unhappy memory.

=D

Pirate.

Yeah, I steal treasure from boats and wear an eye patch.  Good guess.

Also, considering my topic on JANUARY 26th about playing the beta, I now can assume you are an ignorant idiot.

I've played a couple of 4/4 and 5/5 games time to join the game has much improved to something like 1 min maybe, about as long as it takes to join a DoW2 game (sometimes quicker).

I've never had a lag issue in a game, I have had a bit of stuttering where the whole game will freeze for like 10 seconds and it makes me think a crash is going to happen but the game so far has always recovered.  This also does not happen that often.

A problem I am seeing is NAT faciltaion error.  The window will pop up, I'll click okay.  The game usually keeps going fine for me for X amount of time.  This last game I was in 4/4 finished dispte that error.

Previously I was in a 5/5 game and the NAT error popped up, played for about another 5-10 mins and then game up and crashed on me back to the desktop.

Overall though after the last few days joining and playing games has been much quicker/easier.  So IMO Stardock is making progress towards improving things.

There is only so many hours a week, yes they should have been more prepaired but they're a pretty new company and new to MP online.  I can only imagine that the next game/launch they'll do better.

Jeez, grow a sense of humor, wouldja?

I was being silly by responding in a tone similar to the guy you quoted, who seems to think only pirates are having fun with LAN games.

Also, just because you were in the beta, doesn't mean you're not a pirate. :D

True. He had to have preordered to get into the beta, though, so he didn't pirate Demigod.

Technically, he could still be a pirate if he lost his cd key (and didn't bother trying to find it again) or some other improbable factor... thus forcing him to either buy another copy or pirate the game.

That is, unless we presume someone who buys a game can legally download pirated versions of the game and not be named a pirate, which is up for debate.

How do you plan on disabling the LAN tab for the pirated versions that are already out?
